Walmart Vision & Glasses

Stopped by the optical department today to see about getting two pairs of glasses repaired. I explained to the female technician who waited on me that they were for my mother who is a resident in a nursing home. She was able to fix one pair for me and then told me she could possibly switch out the lenses of the one broken pair into a new frame. I must say she provided best customer service that Ive encountered in a long time. Thank you for your assistance and going the extra mile all while being extremely busy during this time. You made my mom's day as she was extremely happy to get her new glasses. Again, thank you!!

Shari was extremely helpful as she fixed 2 pair of my sunglasses that had broke. She was very knowledgeable and professional is a blessing to be representing the Vision Center.

Very positive. One of the lenses in my prescription reading glasses from Visionworks in New Jersey fell out while I was visiting a friend near Wilkes Barre. I went to the Visionworks in Wilkes Barre, but the only employee who could fix the problem was not working on that day and I was referred to a nearby Walmart and even provided directions. I went there and the optical department employee courteously helped at no charge and was warned that this fix was only temporary and to be extra careful with my glasses. When I returned to the Visionworks store in NJ, I was told that this fix was very good and that it only needed a small tightening.

The staff was super nice which helped with my anxiety. I explained my situation with my bad prescription so the doctor even had me use those test lenses to look at a paper and see if it was comfortable. My prescription is exactly what I needed and it feels nice to see clearly. I'm used to paying double what I paid for lesser versions of the things I needed on my glasses so the price was amazing to me. Including warranties on lenses and frames. They have a pretty decent selection of glasses, even in some really nice price ranges. The glasses were finished 3-4 days before they told me they would be. They even had all my insurance information pulled up and ready when I got to my appointment which was a nice time saver for me.

Great service and great customer service. They also have bilingual staff for those that need Spanish. I like that they give me my prescription printed right away, not like other local optiticians where I had to chase them to get it. Also good variety of contacts and free shipping to my house.

This team is amazing. Honestly, my insurance will allow me most places and I will NEVER go anywhere else. I needed glasses and usually pay $400 plus, I paid $80 for the same glasses. I needed an itemized bill and within 2 min of calling the woman faxed and I submitted to FSA for reimbursement. Never ever a hard time. Just kind and helpful which is what we can all use more of. AMAZING! The entire team has been amazing. Thank-you so much for everything.

This review is of the vision center only, as I had no contact with the dr, just needed a glasses adjustment. SHOULD have put a review up at the time, around 3/2/24, I believe, but was traveling and Migraining, and didn't even occur to me until I was reviewing my own wonderful Wmart eye people this week. Was in PA from another state, visiting family, fell, broke bone in hand, but thankfully Not glasses also, just bent the heck out of the frames, so they kept sliding off my face. NEED my glasses to see, and didn't want to break frames trying to fix myself. We were in Wilkes Barre shopping, got the bright idea to see if Wmart vision would adjust, since they are my glasses people in my home state. They were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!! Adjusted frames in no time at all, were SO nice and helpful, and let me sit (no other customers-I was worried about being in the way) while waiting for my sisters to finish getting pizza at Wegmans and pick me up. My migraine was SO bad by then- I So so SO appreciate their kindness, helpfulness, and professionalism!!! Just wish I'd thought to thank and review them earlier!!! Thank y'all so much!!!!

I have been buying glasses there for years. My son's prescription is current and always gets the same frames every time. So, I call there with a valid credit card wanting to purchase a back up pair of glasses for him. They inform me that I have to drive all of the way up there just to stand there and hand them my credit card. They will not allow you to buy anything over the phone. To add insult to injury, my son had to get an eye exam at another doctor because Walmart chose not to be open for several months. Now, I can't get him contact lenses because he did not get his eye exam at Walmart Vision center without getting an entire eye exam through them. It is reasons like this that really want to take my business elsewhere.
