I have waited until I had 3 appointments before rating. My eye situation was complicated because I had issues that were undiagnosed before starting with this practice. I knew that I needed help because my vision was affected. The office is clean, quiet and is on-time with appointments. My first appointment experience was overwhelming, with all of the information shared. Dr. O'Dell spent a great deal of time, her explanations were fulsome. I was overwhelmed because of the new information and there were "other" health promotion tests in addition to the initial care program. I declined, the office personnel did not pressure me. In subsequent appointments, I came to realize that they were on top of suggesting specific care needs; including a referral to a specialist. And yes, I have taken advantage of treatments outside of what my insurance paid for. And yes, it is a very good practice. I highly recommend it based on my continued visits.

Dr. O'Dell and her staff were extremely professional, thorough, and compassionate. I am not a fan of going to the eye doctor, but they made me feel comfortable. The technician was empathetic and calmed me down while she performed testing. Dr. O'Dell took her time with me, even though they were short-staffed and busy! The actual exam was highly comprehensive, and I was so impressed with the high-tech imaging and testing they performed. Overall, I was more than satisfied with this practice. I appreciated the compassion of the staff and would highly recommend them!

I ended up here at this office unexpectedly after being treated very unprofessionally by another provider who I actually respected in the past. The other provider (owner of Mid Atlantic Cornea) was so disrespectful I asked him to slow down and stop being short (he had been in the room no more than 1 minute when this occurred). He got angry and said the appointment was over, he owned the practice, and he wasn't going to take a patient that wasn't happy with his treatment. He sent me to your office. I literally think it was a God send! Your entire staff was professional, yet polite and caring. Heather was amazing from the very start! I thanked her for being kind and she said, "of course that's what we are here for." Dr Odell was literally not only kind and patient, I wasn't treated like I was making up my pain and she actually examined my eyes properly. She didn't say, "your eyes are a mess" like the previous dr just did, but told me the problems, came up with actual options and told me real diagnosis that we could treat. She even performed an amniotic membrane procedure right away after seeing how bad my eyes actually were. I will be referring everyone here! Excellent care!

If I could add more stars, I would! Dr. O'Dell came into the office on a Sunday morning when I was in excruciating pain. I was so afraid I would be sitting in an emergency room for hours upon hours and not get the help needed. She was so kind and knowledgeable and provided immediate relief with a plan. My eye felt fully healed within a day or two and she brought me in the next day to follow up. Now, I have a plan to meet with her soon to get to the bottom of my dry eye and fix the problem before it ever gets to causing an issue like I had when I met her. Beautiful office, everyone is friendly, health of your eyes feels prioritized!

The staff and Dr. O'Dell are all fantastic and welcoming. The office is state of the art and just amazing! The appointment was for my mother and I was able to be in the room with her to listen to all the explanation of why they do what they do and it was a very thorough appointment. My mother and I are extremely satisfied with the care.

I had such a great experience at Medical Optometry America. Not only was the office designed nicely, Dr. O'Dell was extremely knowledgeable and caring and gave me the most comprehensive dry eye exam I've ever had with some really cool technology. She really took her time to help me and after suffering for so long I am finally hopeful that I can finally get better. The other staff were also very nice. Thank you!

Dr. O'Dell and her staff are amazing! I called Friday night for an eye emergency and was seen first thing Saturday morning. She is so compassionate, knowledgeable and genuinely cares. Her instructions were easy to understand and follow. During my follow up appointment, her staff shared the same care as Dr. O'Dell provided over the weekend. Highly, highly recommend!

Dr. O'Dell and her team are terrific. Very professional and knowledgeable while still remaining warm and friendly. I have recommended this office to my co-workers, friends and family. The eye exam was the most thorough I have had.
