Hockman Family Eye Care

I want to personally thank Dr. Hockman and her amazing staff for their kindness and caring. I called needing a follow up appt for an emergency situation I experienced while on vacation. Dr.Hockman made time for me in her schedule and took such valuable time with me as she examined my eyes and talked to me about my questions and concerns. I feel 100% confident and secure with Dr. Hockman. She is very knowledgable, honest and caring. Thank you Dr. Hockman and to your staff. Love Dr. Hockman, but unfortunately will not be returning to the practice due to their policy of not providing your PD as part of your RX. Despite my best efforts of measuring my own, I know that I have 2 PD numbers and have not gotten it correct. So basically they have held my RX hostage for a year. I even called to explain that I am not working and am uninsured, needing accurate glasses within a small budget, to no avail. Furthermore, I have bought a pair of glasses there in the past and requested my receipt to locate the PD on there (as they did not give me a printed on at time of purchase) and they refused. It's a shame to have such an amazing doctor with such a poor policy on providing PD. Staff also refused to let me talk to Dr. Hockman when she became available. Just unacceptable.

We had been going to Dr. Hockman for several years and absolutely adored her. Unfortunately, her clinic no longer accepts our insurance and we had to change optometrists. Dr. Hockman went to great lengths to find contacts I could wear comfortably which is not an easy feat with my eye issues. She was always cheerful, compassionate, polite, and thorough. I miss her and her staff and hope to be able to switch back to her practice in the future. I would highly recommend her.

They told me I wasn't eligible for glasses through my insurance. I purchased glasses to find out later they used my insurance for glasses anyways. Now I can't get contacts.

I had an eye injury at work and Dr. Hockman-Haag was able to provide me with spectacular care to make sure I didn't have any permanent damage. Their staff was friendly, professional, and provided a memo for me to use for my comp claim. Amazing service.

Dr. Hockman-Haag gets it right! I've left other offices frustrated, have been through failed Lasik, and she has delivered every time. With my recent contact fitting, I was brought to tears when I could read fine print. Everyone is so friendly, and Dr. Hockman-Haag makes you feel so welcomed. I also love the frames they carry, and their staff helped me decide on my favorite frames yet! Highly recommend!

Staff up front very disrespectful when I called to inquire about a message they left on our answering machine about another eye care place calling to cancel our insurance. I let Jess know I did not understand what she was talking about and she said the eye care place cancelled our insurance with them. I then went on to ask her how can another place of business cancel our insurance and she hung up on me. Had other issues of glasses not coming in correctly when ordered and again they were not pleasant to deal with when we tried to correct the situation. They did correct it but again were not respectful or customer service oriented. I cancelled my scheduled appointments with three family members to change over to another place of business that knows how to talk to their customers.

If you want to order glasses or sunglasses online and you want an accurate PD measurement, Hockman will not give it to you. A co-worker called her eye doctor and they had no problem helping her out. When I called Hockman they claimed it was not part of the prescription. They wouldn't admit they they don't want to give that information out. They measured me for my day-today glasses so they have to have that measurement. They're just trying to get you to buy expensive glasses through them and not get them cheaper somewhere else. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!
