I have no complaints about Dr. Johnson's care, but the desk staff is incredibly unprofessional. I've been waiting for my contacts for 2 1/2 months and have been given the run around. They are always promising to have the manager call me back and I never hear anything. I've been trying to get a refund but can't seem to get through to anyone who's able to process this. Now I'm waiting for them to leave a message with the owner, but I have zero confidence that's going to happen. Very frustrating experience and they will unfortunately be losing my family as customers.
I see I'm not the only one with this experience, but I have had an extremely frustrating time trying to get my contacts that I ordered through them. They said 2-3 weeks from when I ordered them at my appointment. It has now been 7 weeks with no end in sight, which is frustrating enough in itself, but is compounded by the fact that they have been completely unresponsive and have given me ZERO information or follow up. I've called multiple times and been told someone would call me back, which they have not. I've also sent emails which have not been returned.
I understand things happen and get delayed but avoiding patients and not returning calls and emails is an insane way to do business. I had to rush order other contacts online because I needed a new pair and had no other solution. I wear monthly contacts and they always stress the importance of changing them regularly, and yet they're the reason I'm not able to. Thankfully 1800contacts got my order delivered in under 48 hours (over a weekend and holiday too!)
Now I just want my money back on this contact order I may or may not ever get, but apparently they "can't refund an order once it's been placed". My visits have been fine, but this whole process and their complete lack of care for their patients will have me finding another provider.
Update 2/19/15 after a bunch of back and forth the manger finally came thru an got my safety glasses that I need for work after the long wait she personally drove to Allentown to pick them up witch I thank her for
Went in on 12/18 for an eye exam n to get new glasses plus safety glasses got my regular glasses on 12/30 but now we are going on 2/13 am still haven't received my safety glasses an everytime I call I get the run around an it's very annoying when u pay a good price for safety glasses for work an don't have them called the last 2 days told me the manger will call me back after she's done with her one patient but guess what never happened!! I'm at the point I'm jf I don't revive them by next week I'm asking for a full refund an I'll go somewhere else since all they know how to do is give ppl the runarounds an say I'm sorry
The visit with Dr Johnson was great! Now I have been waiting 8 weeks for my contacts that I had paid for, called multiple times and I get nothing but run around and lies. Alway they will be here next week. Today the lie was my manager checked online and they said they were shipped but no ship date. I have asked to speak to the practice manager supposedly she doesn't have a voice mail and they would leave a message for her . Still no call from the practice manager and 8 weeks later still no contacts which were expected in 2/3 weeks! Stay far away
I had my first visit with Dr. Dianna Cho on October 22 and was not pleased with the visit. I did not take my current contact prescription with me (was never told to do so) and Dr. Cho proceeded to scold me for not bringing it and said "you are not very good with history". I then waited in the room while she chatted with one of the reps about their children and whatever else they talked about while I was waiting. I finally went out to ask if I was finished and she told me she would be in shortly. I did not get a welcoming feeling from the visit.
After the contacts were ordered, I received a phone call telling me I could pick them up, only to find out once I got there that I had to make another appointment to have them checked by the doctor. That was never conveyed to me over the phone, so it was a wasted trip. I asked if I could take them home and try them but was not allowed to do so. I knew at the next appointment they would just give them to me and tell me to check them out for a couple of weeks.
I am now seeing someone else in the practice and have gotten excellent and thorough care from her.
I felt Dr. Cho was very unprofessional and gruff.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Cho. I had been struggling with severe dry eyes for quite some time--constantly in and out of different eye doctors, trying everything with little to no relief. When I first met Dr. Cho, it felt like a sigh of relief. She was incredibly personable, down-to-earth, and genuinely listened to my concerns.
Amazingly, she was able to identify and treat my dry eye issue in just one visit. The improvement has been life-changing. Her expertise and compassionate approach truly set her apart. Even if you have to travel far or wait for an appointment, she is absolutely worth it.
I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Cho. She is an amazing doctor, and I highly recommend her to anyone experiencing eye issues--especially dry eyes.
I have never been shoveled the amount of BS that this office continues to throw at their patients. Dr. Johnson is amazing and our family have been patients of him for over 10 years at his other office. We never had a problem with our service and there was never a long wait to fill prescriptions. Fast forward to having to see him at this chaotic, unmanaged, excuse ridden, lack of professionalism office. The owner John is the leader of supporting staff excuses and leaves the office to be run by a VERY ANGRY woman that does not know how to communicate. Even her office staff have had to intervene when she can't control her temper. I am on week #5 waiting for my replacement lenses because they ordered the wrong prescription the last time. I fight to be able to read and see correctly for months now. I know this never happened with Dr Johnson and his staff at Sunnybrook Optical. I can't wait to get my new lenses, and prescriptions so I can get out of there FOREVER!!
I have been seeing Dr.Johnson for years and he is AMAZING!
My visit went amazing until it was time for me to order contacts. I was told about a month wait, which can be normal for my prescription. After a month went by, I was not updated with anything. I had to call them time and time again to get updates on MY contacts. Each time I called I was given the run around. It was either there was no manager in the store, or they would be here "next week". Finally, I reached out to Landsdale branch and spoke to the owner. He informed me that my contacts have been stuck somewhere, which happens, and he was going to get them overnighted. But there was ZERO communication around this at all, again just given the run around and no help. I would never receive any updates regarding my contacts unless I called someone.
It is now JANURARY 9th, and I just got my contacts I ordered on NOVEMBER 12th. TWO MONTHS. The owner sent me the tracking number myself so I can look. Once they were delivered, I was supposed to get a call. Got no call, went in and they tried to give me trial contacts instead of my actual 6-month order. This whole process has been a nightmare.
I will continue to see Dr.Johnson but will NEVER purchase contacts or glasses from this place again.
