TLC Family Eye Care

My family has been going here for years. Dr. Tammy is not only highly knowledgeable but also caring and patient. My 21 year old daughter went for a routine eye exam when Tammy suspected she might have MS! She told us to go to the Emergency room immediately. Sure enough she was diagnosed with the disease and is on daily medicine and multiple treatments. Don't know what would have happened if she had not caught it. She also referred my 90 old mother to an eye surgeon because she saw magular degeneration forming. She receives injections in both eyes and her eye sight has greatly improved! Staff is also wonderful! Highly recommend!!

Would not recommend to go here with children. Kinda long review but stick with me. We were there because my child had experienced a medical event that we were worried could have been caused by pressure on her optic nerves. Not because she had any loss of vision or eye issues. The medical event caused her to have constant headaches so we were just playing it safe. They have a really cool machine that takes full pictures of your eyes and she was cleared of any optic nerve problems. But then during the eye exam they stated she needed glasses, but "only during school because they use iPads and that strains the eyes" This is where i tell you the doctor DOES NOT like to be questioned, even politely, in the slightest. Because she will tell you "who's the doctor here" and "how would you know if its just for school and you aren't around" When I told her we homeschool so again id have noticed, and we don't use iPads, she just shrugged it off. She then turned to my daughter and said unprofessional things like "now you wont have headaches because you'll have glasses!!" This provoked many conversations having to explain to my child that not having readers would not cause her to fail an eeg. That yes, she still needed other testing. And that having glasses was not a guarantee to getting rid of her headaches. The doctor was aware that she needed a second eeg and that she had failed the first and she needed an mri etc. my daughter wore the readers and of course her headaches did not go away. Long story short we moved states (thats why I feel comfortable writing this review.) I brought her to another eye doctor here and it was confirmed (without them knowing this past experience) that she has 20/20 vision and the glasses she currently has from this facility are pointless. I asked if this is something she could have grown out of so quickly as its been only a year and they said they haven't seen that happen before.

These girls know whats up. They get you in and take up all your info they need and get you out with some great glasses and contacts super fast. So much better than the ones in Scranton

The staff and the doctor could not have been more helpful. The doctor was very thorough and did not rush even though it was her day off. Thank you for taking care of my injured eye.

Awesome!!!!! I went to 3 different practices for consultations in order to choose the one I was most comfortable with in service and cost. I chose TLC Eye Center in Fairfield CT for my procedure. The staff at this office have an amazing bedside manner, they are kind and patient. Starting with the initial consultation lead me to believe this was the right choice. A young lady that is now on maternity leave was awesome in details, professionalism and kindness. This office kept me well informed regarding pricing, procedure preparation and process. They were very accommodating to my concerns. Christine at the front desk quickly became someone I can count on for guidance and assistance (very kind and helpful). Dr. Rose proved to be consistent in kindness, knowledge and comfortability. The staff in the procedure room explained every step in detail, the doctor spoke out loud every move he was making and what to expect as he was doing the procedure and it all took approximately 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this office and procedure. Everything they explained I would feel after the procedure did so nothing was a surprise. I am on my 2nd day after procedure and feel great and excited.

My daughter went for an exam and received glasses. She left the area for school and discovered the glasses were incorrect and notified the doctor. The doctor (TLC) told her to go to the doctor's teacher (who happened to be in the same city) to have the glasses checked. My daughter did and was told the glasses were cut incorrectly, a common mistake. My daughter called the original doctor, Carlson's office (TLC) and was told to come in when she got back to have them corrected. When she did she was being charged again and wasn't allowed to see or talk with the doctor. She was told that her glasses and the doctor were correct and that she couldn't see the doctor unless she paid for a new visit. The staff was yelling at my daughter when she tried to explain the situation. I called and the staff wouldn't listen to me and hung up me.

Worst experience ever. They cut my glasses wrong, another doctor confirmed it, and when I went back to have them fixed they were really rude and wouldn't admit fault. Find any other eye doctor, or just squint, not worth it. If you have a problem with your prescription, they will charge you to fix it, even if it was their fault. Also the rudest, most sarcastic women in the front office. DO NOT GO HERE. Watched them be rude to and unnecessarily charge another man while I was waiting, these ppl only care about money.

I have been a patient of Dr Carlson's for over 5 years. She is a superb vision specialist, and more importantly she cares deeply for her patients. As a side benefit her prices are extremely competitive. I cannot overemphasize my satisfaction with her and the people in her organization.
