America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I must admint that all my experiences with America's Best at this location have not been positive. However, Shannon delivers courteous and professional service each time she fitted me for glasses. She is an asset to their establishment and other workers could take some tips from her.

I broke the arm of my glasses off during the day. I left work and went to America's best in the Cedarbrook mall. I arrived there around 4:30 PM. The receptionist greeted me and tried to fix the glasses. It was then determined that they were indeed broke. She then sent me over to jail. Jill called every store in the area to see if they had my particular frame so that the lenses could be put into the new frame. I truly appreciate all of our efforts. She stayed on the phone until she got one of the stores. That store was in the north east. I am truly thankful for Jill's efforts because I cannot see without my glasses and get headaches. I was able to get back home by 7:00 PM and get dressed for an event that I was going to. Without Jill's efforts I'm not sure what I would've done.

My experience at the Cheltenham/Wyncote location was completely unacceptable, beginning with a three-week delay for my eyeglasses--a week longer than promised. When I finally received the frames, the lenses were the wrong gray color instead of the 10% brown (tan) I adamantly ordered. The older heavyset woman that sits at the front with a short hair cut, caused this issue from the onset. She ultimately gave me what she suggested versus what I wanted. Once I arrived to the store to finally pick up the glasses, I escalated the error to Store Manager Alexandra, whose response was a shocking failure of leadership. She was immediately rude, defensive, and argumentative, refusing to de-escalate the situation. Her response--that "mistakes happen" and that I could either accept the wrong lenses, take back the original lenses without medicine in them or wait another three weeks--was all very inconsiderate and condoning of her associate's error. Her initial apology was wholly inauthentic and half-hearted. Recognizing the need to escalate, I requested the District Manager's information, which Alexandra flatly refused to provide. Instead, she gave me a store card and another card that had her name on it. At this point, I was forced to bypass the store, ultimately contacting the area manager who connected me with the District Manager. The District Manager resolved the matter with professionalism and etiquette, securing the correct brown lenses in under two weeks. I am satisfied with the final product, but due to Alexandra's appalling service, I will never return to that location and strongly urge that she be retrained and/or removed from her leadership position until she's better developed, qualified and equipped to handle unsatisfied customer issues.

I was disappointed this Saturday morning. I go here often and appreciate the service . This morning my granddaughter had a 9:30 am appt at the time of making the appt just last week they asked what health insurance she had which is UPMC that was Ok at scheduling now at the visit they no longer except UPMC asked if wanted to pay out of pocket no thank you

The staff at this location are amazing. I just want to point out two that Always leaves me with a lasting impression of them. Ms. Jill and Shannon. Those 2 ladies are amazing very knowledgeable at what they do and so patient. I just want to say thank you again to both of them for everything. Ms. Jill knows she can persuade me into getting something when I come in there. She is the reason I love transitional lenses, thank you thank you Ms. Jill and Shannon gets my crooked frame straight every time hands-down she is the bomb. A brand new pair of glasses came in. The frame shape was terrible Shannon whipped that frame right into shape thank you thank you Shannon. I will forever come to this location as long as these two are there. Lexi was incredible and had wonderful customer service. She welcomed me with a warm smile and helped me tremendously.

I came in to get frames and lenses that would be suitable for my everyday needs. Shannon met me with a smile and welcoming gesture. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding which lenses would best suit my needs. I was also in and out in a timely manner. The professionalism and speedy service was great as well. I would most definitely recommend this location for anyone looking to be well taken care of regarding their vision needs and accessories.
