Would not recommend this practice or Dr Shirke based on my unfavourable experience. All I can think is they are too busy so I was rushed and treated as a number $$$. Going to lose vision but no real discussion on the diagnosis or tratment other than come back in 12 months. Not likely. Asked for more info and was reluctantly given a Google fact sheet. Had to chase the report for nearly 3 months with no replies to any emails or phone calls. Had to enlist the Optomestrist to finally get a response. Avoid. I suggest going elsewhere if possible.

Received really good service across the whole clinic. I had previously been referred to another ophthalmologist in Townsville had received the worst service of my life which made me extremely anxious about then going to see the Dr there so I cancelled and booked with NQ Eye Specialists and received fantastic service from the moment I called the clinic to move my referral over, right through until I left the clinic from my appointment. Dr Shirke was great and had a lovely bedside manner.

Dr Goodwin and his staff are excellent to deal with, courteous, professional, understanding of concerns. I was referred by Qld Health so I thought I would get a public health type service. These people looked after me better than I though possible. Nothing was too much trouble. No worry of mine was too small to address. Eye surgery is scary, and they understood that, and went above and beyond for me. After surgery care was great. I was encouraged to let them know of any concerns. I was never made to feel like I was wasting their time. In short, you can trust these people. I would definitely go to them again in the future with complete confidence.

We were thoroughly impressed with our experience at NQ Eye Specialists. Todd communicated clearly and we felt very comfortable asking questions. His manner with our three year old was fantastic and we would not hesitate to recommend him and his team to anyone. The parking underneath is really handy. If you're coming from the Charters Towers Rd end of Bayswater Rd, just be prepared to quickly turn right after the lights. There's a turn right lane to make it easy.

I was referred to Dr Shirke and found her to be knowledable, friendly and easy to understand. However reception staff not so good at all, I won't elaborate.

Dr Goodwin and his team saw our Son who is generally very shy of medical practitioners. Great experience with clean and modern offices.

Charged for tests without advising me, even when I had asked about these via phone prior to the appointment.Opthamologist had incorrect information about my history. When I raised my concerns I was not taken seriously.
