Beaufort Eye Center

I had cataract eye surgeries on both of my eyes in November with Dr. Alex Johnson being my surgeon. It was an overall great experience. He is a wonderful doctor. The staff from start to finish was great. I would recommend Beaufort eye care for all of your eye care needs. Dora James.

Dr Webster did a laser procedure to remove scar tissue that had formed over my replaced lens. It was fast and extremely effective. Such an easy doctor to work with. Would highly recommend!

I'm a new patient - well, I was trying to be a new patient, but your incompetent office staff prevented that. I know Doctors pay their office staff next to nothing, so finding good help is a challenge. I was on hold over 10 minutes. I spoke to 3 different people. Simone, the last person I spoke with, was so confused, she couldn't even spell my name correctly after I spelled it correctly her 3 times. I was literally impossible to make an appointment at Beaufort Eye Center. How can I trust a Doctor there where there first office staff is rude, inefficient, and not able to do their job?? This is a clown show office.

I am so very happy with the service offered by Beaufort Eye Center, and Dr. Webster. He performed my cataract surgery, and I am very pleased with his professionalism, his manner, and his deneanor. I highly recommend this center as well as Dr Webster. I drove over 80 miles for his service. Thank you, Dr Webster

Was simply trying to get an appointment for a hurt eye via contact lens. I wanted to be a new patient as I am new to the area. Immediately was met with "We are doing new patients in Okatie" I asked so you're not doing any there? Her response "Noooooo I just don't have anything available today" in the worst rudest tone ever. Immediately hung up after saying ok thank you. Like why did you have to be SO rude since I'm not already a patient? I wanted to be? Anyways I will be looking for a new place that likes new patients. Actively turning away patients at the door is borderline unethical

I live at the apartment behind this place and we all got a text from our landlord that apparently they don't want us walking through their parking lot? Ridiculous.

Why have an appointment? You will have to wait an unacceptable amount of time to be seen. 2 visits and each required a wait time in excess of an hour. When new glasses were made, lens installed for the left eye was completely wrong prescription. Had to return for another appointment to correct and once was made to wait. Will not use this place ever again

Waited just about 2 hours for my appointment and when I complained I was told I was being rude - how's that for being rude? I had had a stye for a month of treatment with no improvement. After that 2 hour wait Dr K scheduled me for an operation that did not go well, that is when she recommended me to another doctor at another practice, if only she had done that before butchering my eye. Can you imagine what it is like to think of her EVERY SINGLE TIME you blink? My eyelid will now never be normal, even the doctor she sent me too was puzzled as to why she would attempt to drain the style when it is something he does every day - he told me that cauterization is rarely done and only in cases of severe bleeding, but Doctor K cauterized me and the scar tissue that has formed with never go away, never allow me to blink without thinking of her. The pain during her botched procedure was just about unbearable. I had been told I would not feel a thing. Stay far away.
