I had once gone here many years ago and thought my experience this time would match, but it didn't. When I first got there, things were fine -- they checked my eyesight and offered to do an additional test, which I agreed to. When I met with the doctor, the interaction was very brief and he didn't go into detail about my other exam, so I had to ask one of the employees about it. She walked me over to the scan of my eye, pointed at it, and just said it was fine. I did ask for her to explain a little more which she did and I appreciated at the moment. After that, I started looking for glasses and was stuck on two pairs. I asked the employee if she could give me the prices for each, and she told me to sit down and that she'd give them to me in a bit. When she came back, she had a calculator and started "estimating" the costs. When I asked if that included my insurance, she said yes -- which shocked me because my insurance should have covered a good portion plus an additional percentage off. When I asked about the second pair, she said, "I'll leave them to you for [price]," and when I hesitated, she dropped it again. It honestly felt more like I was at a car dealership than an eye clinic. When I decided to wait on buying anything, before leaving, they told me I still had to pay for the extra exam. The lady said cash or card, so I paid cash -- but she never gave me a receipt, which felt really sketchy. Later, I realized I forgot to grab my prescription, so I went back and asked for it. They told me the doctor was too busy to sign off on it and that they don't email prescriptions. By then, the lady who had helped me had a completely different attitude. The worst part is when the next clinic I went to contacted them for my prescription, they made it incredibly difficult. At first, they even said I'd have to go in person to sign off -- and I live over 30 minutes away. After all of this, I honestly don't even trust that my exam was done properly, and I can't redo it because my insurance only covers one exam per year. Overall, this place gave me a headache then and still does just thinking about it. I do not recommend this clinic at all. The Walmart Vision Center I went to afterward was much more helpful, respectful, and transparent. I'll never go back here, and I definitely won't recommend anyone else to.

Hi, hello my name is Yariza I've been coming here for five years And it was very good from the storm but whatsoever it's coming to an end Coming to end But whatever I came here today just to get my daughter's glasses and my other daughter's glasses and supposedly they said that they couldn't find my Insurance check again check again on the third time they go check they find it. They apologizing to me because I checked it by myself. I had to call my insurance company and I had to wait there for at least two hours. I picked out my glasses and my daughters picked out theirs and they wanted to charge me extra stuff that doesn't even matter anyway they kept on insisting and insisting this is just a rip off .

ZERO STARS Been here a second time for my son; his check up was less than five minutes. Doctor came in and left as soon as he entered the room, said he would be back and never did. Instead it was another person and that the appointment was done. I also needed to personally speak to the doctor and his "assistants" kept asking me what was the reason and i wasn't going to disclose that with them. So they put us in a room when we were already in the lobby about to leave. CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT AFTER EVERY USE!

My husband started going there, and i needed to get an eye check up, absolutely loved them. The girls are very attentive and helpful and go above and beyond. That only comes from working for a great MD. Dr Vasquez is exceptional. Now my 6 nieces and nephews go there as well, my husband, myself and my son and now my brother in law. Cant recommend them enough+!

Do not accept the additional exam they will not give you proper results. They are not clear on pricing and will give you a hard time getting your prescription if you do not purchase glasses/contacts with them.

I've been bringing my boys for the last 3yrs.. I've never had any issues. Dr always explains everything and staff goes above and beyond for their patients.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My visit to Los Fresnos Eye Clinic started off fine, but the experience completely fell apart after I saw the doctor. He told me he would return to explain the results of an additional exam, so I waited, assuming he was reviewing them. Instead, his assistant walked in and mentioned that the doctor wasn't coming back. Confused, I responded, "But he said he was going to come back to go over the results." To my shock, she casually replied, "He always says that, but he never comes back." Like that somehow makes it okay. No, it absolutely does not. I should've checked the reviews beforehand because it's clear that this place has a pattern of horrible service. The doctor literally doesn't give a damn about customer service, and it shows in his behavior. I was left with no real explanation of my results and felt completely dismissed. To make matters worse, I was then informed that my prescription wasn't even ready because the doctor was "busy." Now, I'm expected to make another trip back, despite living over 30 minutes away, just to pick it up? That's completely unacceptable. This experience was rushed, dismissive, and entirely unprofessional.

From the time I made the appointment to when I exited those doors I had nothing but great service. Ms. Ruth was so knowledgeable and so patient with every one of us. I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff and clean place. Update. (9/12/25- Big thank you to Ms. Ruth for helping us out today with my husband's glasses. Thank you for going above and beyond for him)
