Made an appointment to get a prescription for computer glasses to help see my computer screen. Must have told the doctor five times that I only want computer glasses. Turns out they gave me a prescription for "progressive lenses" and not "computer lenses." It took days before they corrected the prescription. The "corrected" prescription resulted in glasses that were blurry and out of focus. I'm sticking with the over-the-counter reading glasses since they're "adequate," which is way more than I can say about the service at the Christus Trinity Eye Clinic. UPDATE: 2 MONTHS LATER -- Still Wrong Prescription / Still No Glasses / and now they want to charge me an extra $45 copay for gettiing everything WRONG. Imagine taking your car for an oil change and they change the transmission fluid instead; and then demand that you pay extra for the servicing of the transmission. Their answer to this goat rope..."Charges for this date of service will stand."

Great experience today. My teenage son's first eye exam and all the staff were wonderful. Dr Deaton was very professional and explained everything to us. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed, made an eye appointment 2 months ago with Mineola Christus eye clinic as I have Christus insurance which was verified when I made the appointment. Well the evening before the appointment the eye clinic called and said they don't take Christus insurance for routine eye exams and it would have to be out of pocket. Sure would have been appropriate for them to tell me this 2 months ago when I made the appointment with all the same information. Shows that they don't really care about their patients or customers. Definitely will go elsewhere going forward.

Dr. John Deaton is the best! Very nice and knowledgeable! Clean office. Friendly Staff. Nice environment. 10/10.

It was a great experience at this eye care facility, DeHaven Eye Care in Mineola, Texas. The doctor was John Deaton, O.D. The eye conditions of which were diagnosed at my appointment were explained thoroughly, as well as the possible procedures that would correct them. The provider and staff were very courteous and professional in assisting me throughout my exam. Each step was explained and the results of each that were being sought by the individual components of the exam machinery being used. All this care was still provided, even though the facility's restrooms were out of order due to a plumbing situation. That type of situation could adversely effect staff attitudes, but this was not apparent throughout my visit. I say that to emphasize the professionalism of the staff and provider in a tough situation, albeit a temporary one. The one issue was having to wait so long from the date of setting the appointment. However, this becoming a common occurrence in my experiences with setting appointments with medical specialists. Overall, I have found the facility that will conduct all my eye exams and eyeglass prescription needs.

Great experience. Had both cataracts removed; the staff and doctors made this a very comfortable and pain free process. Although everyone will tell you cataract surgery is routine and painless, for most people like myself the prospect of having surgery on your eyes is unsettling. From the very first visit they made me feel relaxed and confident. Glad I found this place.

The front desk lady was exceptionally rude when I walked in with my child (whose eye is swollen shut) at 8 a.m. to ask if any of their providers see children or had an opening. No greeting, just "Name!" And "We don't see peds patients!" being barked at us. She asked no questions, made no suggestions for other places, just had an ugly tone and crossed arms. I recommend going down the street to Dr Hawari's office instead.
