Friendly Eye Care

A friend told me about Friendly Eye Care. I'm thankful she did. The service and attention to details were excellent. Dr. Bautista was very caring and gave instruction concerning my post-op eye surgery that was very beneficial. Sarah was very attentive and patient when I looked for the selection of my new glasses. I can't say enough about this Optometrist office and Staff. I will encourage others to make appointments. I thank God for the care I received. John 3:16

Nice doctor and staff. Clean and on time. I'm just very disappointed with the glasses I purchased from this office. I wear glasses every day and paid a significant amount for them, including a charge to have the lenses shaved down on the edges. Unfortunately, the lenses were not shaved down enough on the sides, and when I wear them the edges of the lenses visibly stick out from the frames. People have even pointed this out, which is embarrassing since these are my everyday glasses. I brought them back to the office to have them looked at, but the staff member I spoke with said they looked fine and nothing was done to address the issue. And to top it all off, the lenses have also started coming out of the frames.

At Friendly Eye Care, the tech (Morales) broke my glasses while attempting to adjust the frames and did not reimburse me for the damage. I gave them an opportunity to resolve the issue, but they only ended up wasting more of my time( 14 days)and even canceled the insurance claim for the new pair I ordered. I never received the replacement glasses--only a refund for my purchase. I couldn't imagine a worse experience. I will be pursuing legal remedies for the loss of my original frames, but I wanted to share this for anyone considering this provider. Edit: add this to the number of lies I've been given by your office. I can't cancel nor did I request cancellation of the claim. I ordered the glasses, paid the balance in full and was informed they would be expedited. You told me the glasses were ready but when I arrived I was informed they were not ready. Robert told me they would be ready first thing in the morning and then proceeded to cancel the claim immediately after I left the office. You should be ashamed at how you treated me .

I absolutely love Friendly Eye Care! They are knowledgeable, fast, and convenient. I love that they have Saturday appointments. Dr. Bautista is wonderful. My family and I went to a different Rowlett optometrist for years, and Friendly Eye Care is a huge improvement.

The entire staff is amazing--so patient, understanding, and truly professional. And Dr. Deisy... love, love, LOVE her! She makes you feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. Highly recommend!

The service here is outstanding--everyone is so friendly and genuinely helpful. I came in with an eye injury, and Dr. Deisy Bautista was incredibly thorough and reassuring. I left feeling cared for and secure with the treatment, and I'll definitely be bringing my family here in the future.

I had one of the strangest and most uncomfortable experiences of my adult life at Friendly Eye Care. It was with the doctor. The name of the business does not match how I was treated. The doctor openly insulted me--commenting twice that I "wear too much makeup" and she even mocked my name a couple of times as well. At one point, she stepped outside the room and talked to the front desk person (it was completely silent so I heard) and she was laughing with the front desk person apparently about me. I heard them, to confirm that it was really happening, I asked what they were laughing at, and the doctor had the gall to tell me straight to my face--"your name." What the heck? No one deserves to be spoken to or treated this way, especially in a healthcare setting where professionalism and basic respect should be the minimum. This was not friendly, supportive, or appropriate by any standard. Just think about this: If they were this happy to mock me about my name and my use of foundation and mascara then think about what are they going to say about you and your family? I have no idea why they felt so comfortable - the doctor - to do this to me, I have not experienced this at any other medical practice. I was bringing my family into using them, I am so glad that they had the mean-spiritedness to show me their true colors to me before I did that. What would they have said about me, my husband, my children? What extent would they go to be mean to them? I didn't ever treat them differently either, it's the eye doctor, I am in and out. I don't have emotions about the experiences of going to the eye doctor until this occurred. You go in, get checked, purchase, and leave. Very simple, but wow did they pack a punch for me just wanting to get some contacts. I'm now going back to my eye doctor in Plano, I'll drive an hour+ to go to her instead. This was across months so it was sustained, not just one trip.

I was so impressed with Friendly Eye Care from the front desk associate to all the associates and the incredibly thorough doctor. The associate that assisted with the selection of my new glasses went above and beyond excellence. When they say "Friendly" Eye Care they really mean it.
