Dr Ernst was amazing, very professional and pretty much gave me my sight back. I have had to wear glasses for as long as I can remember and was basically blind without them. I am on day 2 after surgery and already I feel giddy with excitement with how well I can see. Everyone at the office treated me like family, I could not have picked a better place to have my LASIK done. The night after the surgery Dr Ernst called to check on me himself, at about 8pm, just to make sure I was all good. It's those things that make all the difference and showed me they truly care about their patients. So glad I had this done before Dr Ernst retired.

My mother's optometrist told her it was time for her cataracts to be removed, and she had been dreading it, mostly out of fear about the procedure. He sent her to see Dr. Ernst. From the moment we arrived for her consultation, everyone at the office was friendly and helpful. Dr. Ernst really explained the procedure in a way we understood, answered our questions, and reassured my mother that her surgery would go perfectly. And it did. Dr. Ernst even telephoned us that evening to see how she was and remind her of her follow-up the next day. That was an exceptionally kind gesture, and not common for surgeons. When it came time for her second eye to be operated on, she was not nervous at all because she knew what to expect. Everyone we met in the office was great - the front desk staff (the young man I interacted with was so funny and nice. He's a keeper, that one, lol), Bryce (our technician) was so friendly, professional, and kind, the surgery schedulers made getting things set up very easy, the nurses who worked with my mother were so nice, and Dr. Ernst is absolutely amazing. He's prompt, friendly, reassuring, experienced, and really cares about making sure his patients get the best care for their eyes. He followed up with my mother after both procedures, and made it clear to us that if we needed anything, anytime, to call the office and we would be able to get assistance. I hope he's still doing surgery if/when I need it. I highly recommend Dr. Ernst and this practice in Harrisburg, PA.

I am so happy I was referred to Dr Ernst of SCHEIN ERNST MISHRA EYE for my cataract surgeries. From my first consultation visit up to my surgery date I was treated with great respect from an exceptional helpful staff. During the consultation I was escorted from one testing room to another by a professional staff member explaining to me what the test was and why. Then Dr Ernst examined me, went over my results, answered my questions and we decided on a treatment plan. I was then sent to the surgical coordinator who set up my surgery and follow up dates. She explained to me what would happen on the day of surgery, where to check in, and what to wear. She also went over my financial obligations and financing options. The date of surgery went smoothly. I was told to dress comfortably and was pleasantly surprised I was able to wear what I had on - even my shoes. Again the surgery staff was exceptional, professional and efficient. I was given numbing eye drops and dilating drops. Before I knew it my surgery was over and I was on my way home. My vision was blurry but that was expected. It cleared up in two days. I have no worries about my next surgery in two weeks.

The entire staff are wonderful! They put you at ease the moment you get there! The camaraderie among the entire staff is evident!! Dr Ernst is an amazing caring doctor! I was deeply appreciative when I received a telephone call from him, after hours, to see how I was feeling.

Great experience throughout! Professional staff. My LASIK surgery went well and all of my questions were thoroughly answered before the day of surgery. They are willing to work with my regular eye doctor so that most of my follow up visits can be with my regular eye doctor (whose location is more convenient for me). I highly recommend this office for LASIK surgery!

Great level detail, highly professional and I was seeing 20/20 7 days after! Halos, blurry vision, dry eye are normal for some patients post procedure. These symptoms will improve. But Ernst and team are highly comprehensive in their evaluations and I have no regrets

After wearing contacts for 26 years i decided to pursue lasik. I was recommended by my eye doctor to Dr Ernst. I've also worked in healthcare for 20 years, and was relieved that this office was so kind and caring. It was a breath of fresh air. Every visit from my consult to my 1st post op was great. The best staff at an office I've experienced in a very long time !

Dr. Ernst has an excellent 'bedside manner', and he even calls his patients on the evening after surgery to make sure they have no complications. His office and staff are also very efficient and pleasant.
