Galloway Regional Eye Center PA

I recently switched my eye care to Dr. Galloway. My previous Greenwood Ophthalmologist recommend eye surgery for a small problem I was having. Dr. Galloway told me that surgery wouldn't help and recommended against it, which lines up with my online research. He was very honest, thorough and explained everything nicely.

I went in to get a prescription and Dr. Galloway never said Hi or introduce himself. I got a prescription and was told I needed cataract surgery. The prescription was wrong and I had to go to another doctor to get the correct prescription. The new prescription was perfect. In addition, the second doctor said I did not need cataract surgery. I asked for my money back, since they did nothing for me, but they refused saying he gave me a full eye exam. Didn't do me any good.

We had a terrible experience today at Dr. Galloway's office.We are from out of state but have a house on Lake Greenwood. We brought our granddaughter up for spring break. On Tuesday, two days ago, she got something in her eye. We tried over the counter drops but today it was still very red and hurting . I found Dr.Galloway by googling pediatriac eye doctors in Greenwood. He had one review which was a five star. I called and made an appointment for 2:30. We arrived at 2:10 and filled out paper work. Then we waited until 4:05 to see him. When he came in he didn't introduce himself, ask her name or anything. He started to put drops in her eye. She was very nervous and upset. He started putting the drop in the eye that was not hurting. She told him that was the wrong eye and so did I. He said in a very rough tone that he would put the drops in both eyes and do a full exam of both eyes. By this time my granddaughter was getting very upset. He didn't try to talk to her or calm her in any way. He told me that he was leaving the room and for me to get her calmed down and he would be back in. She calmed down and I went out in the hall to let him know that she was a little calmer. He was in another examining room and had started working with another patient.We waited another25 minutes so I decided that it would be best to just leave. As we were leaving he saw us and told me to come back in a couple of days when she wasn't so upset. I told him we would not be here in a couple of days. Just want to let anyone know that is thinking of taking a child to this doctor please think twice. This was a horrible experience that I would not want to see happen again. He was rude, arrogant, and has no business treating children. Our granddaughter is now terrified of having to see another eye doctor. I would not give him one star but it wouldn't let me give 0 stars.

Dr. Galloway and his staff always come across as truly caring for their patients. A very welcoming office in an era of being a number at many practices. Always recommend them whenever I can.

Wonderful experience, professional friendly staff. Dr. Galloway really takes the time to listen and talk about your eye health. I have been a patient for years, I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else.

From the moment I walked in the door, to the time I checked out, I felt valued (rare these days). Ashley sat down with me, asked thorough and pertinent questions, and Dr. Galloway explained things as he went. More than that, he provided detailed information and instructions regarding the situations with my eyes and vision.

The staff is very welcoming and professional in their approach in accommodating the patient. Dr. Galloway has the expertise and years of experience in immediately diagnosing your issues and solving the problem with a confident plan to resolve.
