Advanced Eye Care

i have always enjoyed this practice and the physicians here. whoever what i really don't appreciate is how they preform services that are an extra charge to the patient without informing them. staff should be asking patients if they are okay with getting retinal imaging done at the visit with the cost disclosed instead of getting my entire exam done thinking my insurance will cover it then i get a surprise bill for it.

I am so frustrated. I'm writing this on behalf of mother. She has seen them for about 2 years. They had her come in so often and the doctor only saw her for 5 minutes if that. I came in with her every time. She paid all her co-pays. But they still tried to get more money out of her. They kept saying if she doesn't pay them they will charge her more. The first time this happened they realized after my mom was looking for receipts then they said she was fine. Then after the 2 and 3rd time. We got print outs of her card payments . And they kept saying the different dates each time we asked and we showed proof of every payment. Then we asked them for our printed copy of our payments she didn't print all of them but only some. But still proving we paid the ones she said that we didn't. Then said she would take that off and the extra money they were trying to charge us for late fee. Then a Month or 2 later she calls my mom again saying she needed to pay them. Then when my mom told her she said "oh I forgot to take care of that" Quit harassing people!!! I wonder how many people they have messed over with money. They even tried to lie about when my mother came in and got her eye exam for glass. I always put her appointment in her phone. They changed the date that several times when she never had an appointment. Also, My little sister had an appointment here. Day before we called and verified her appointment. Then went in and told us it was for different location and a month out. Do not come here !

I had a great experience with Dr. Wapner and his staff. I had PRK vision correction done over a year ago and I've absolutely loved going without glasses! Dr. Wapner took extra good care of me since I've had multiple family members that have also gone to him for their eye surgery and they highly recommended him to me. It's great having free eye exams included for 2 years too. Loving 20/20!!

Horrible! Never go here! Avoid at all cost! My wife saw Dr. Francis J. Wapner for a chalazion that had her in pain. We were with the doctor for less than 5 min. He didn't explain anything, ask any question, or seem interested in what was going on. We left the clinic with a prescription for some ointment, frustration, and a lot of anger. I repeat, NEVER go here!

Two and a half years later and I continue to be grateful to Dr. Wapner and his dedicated team. Having extremely poor eyesight since I was eight years old, along with astigmatism in both eyes; Dr. Wapner informed me that while a candidate for PRK surgery, I'd still likely require corrective lenses following the procedure. Today, almost three years later I continue to see this incredible world with the 20/20 vision gifted me by his skill and talent. To wake up...and not reach immediately for my glasses. Wow! Thank you, Dr. Wapner and team. Thank you so very much!

Have shingles in my eye. First saw Dr. Daynes and he prescribed eye drops and said it would be fine. Made it four days before I thought I would go crazy. Called and the office staff told me to come in and see Dr. Wapner. He was awesome! He changed eye drops, gave me meds and made an appointment to see me the next week. I have been in five times now and the office staff remembers my name. Great office!

I went for my first eye appointment at Advanced Eye Care recently. First of all, I didn't realize it was attached to St. Mark's hospital but it was decently easy to find when I realized that and parking was also ok. The receptionist staff was friendly. The eye exam was 90% completed by the unfriendly assistant and the doctor came in for about 5 minutes after my eyes were dilated. It wasn't a horrible experience but I won't be going back.

I first went to see Dr. Wapner in Feb '19 because I had recently moved back to UT & he was my mom's eye doctor. Best decision I've made for my eye health, EVER! My eyesight had deteriorated dramatically over the previous 5 years, but my WA eye doctor didn't find any cause except to blame it on age. Dr. Wapner immediately found a problem with my corneas and consulting with Dr. Dayne they diagnosed me with Salzmann Corneal Nodules. The root cause was determined to be from upper eyelid entropion. Dr. Wapner first referred me to Dr. Oberg to fix the eyelids and then to Dr. Moshirfar to remove the corneal nodules. Fast forward 2 years & my vision is back to what it was 8+ years ago. I will fly back to UT to see Dr. Wapner for my eye health because he is the only Dr. I trust. All doctor's involved in my eyesight recovery are top notch and I will be forever grateful for their services.
