Me and my family have been clients of Dr. Elbash since moving into Loudoun County over 8 years ago. Our experience has been great and we would refer anyone needing professional eye care to Loudoun Ophthalmology. Contrary to some negative reviews I've read, Dr. Elbash and his staff have treated us professionally and with courtesy each visit. They are very accommodating if we need to adjust scheduling, etc. And billing has never been an issue.
UPDATE: Despite having my appointment scheduled and wanting to avoid late fees, we decided to go ahead and visit due to concerns over additional charges. However, when we arrived, we were told that the provider would not see us because of a negative review I had left. This was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The owners should seriously reconsider their administrative staff, as so many reviews reflect dissatisfaction, yet they continue to treat patients poorly.
I had a deeply frustrating experience at Loudoung Ophthalmology. The customer service was absolutely awful, and I feel completely disregarded as a patient. The front desk associates were not only rude but also unprofessional. They clearly don't care about helping patients or ensuring a smooth experience.
What made matters worse was the billing issue. Despite my insurance covering certain services, I was still billed for them, and when I raised the concern, it felt like no one was interested in resolving the issue. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
Dr. Elbash is fantastic!! He has been treating my mom for quite some time now and has become like family. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who truly cares about his patients!
Very friendly doctor. But the stuff is very rude. We try to make a reschedule a day before our daughter appointment (21 hours before) and they gonna charge $40 for cancelation. It's okay you can charge it. We won't comeback again. But again thanks to the doctor.
I had such a great experience with Dr. Elbash and his office today. First off, the front desk staff was amazing, so kind, helpful, and efficient. I had a last-minute issue with my eye and needed to be seen before traveling, and they got me scheduled quickly with zero hassle. The receptionist made the entire process seamless, answered all my questions with patience, and was just a joy to interact with.
When I arrived, check-in was quick and easy, and I waited no more than 5 minutes before being seen. Dr. ElBash was incredibly thorough, gentle, and kind. He took time to explain everything clearly and made me feel genuinely cared for. His soft, calm nature and professionalism really stood out.
I walked out feeling relieved, informed, and well taken care of. From start to finish, the experience was efficient, warm, and top-notch. Highly recommend!
Was billed hundreds of dollars for an unnecessary and irrelevant test, which had nothing to do with my visit reason, to be performed without being informed of the cost beforehand.
When confronting the billing department I was dismissed and was and told "take it up with your insurance provider".
Zero privacy in the office as well, while waiting was able to hear every other patients interactions with the Dr.
Edit - after reading the response to this review from the business I wanted to clarify. This was not a case of me "not wanting to pay my bill". The situation the entire time felt like the office took advantage of me being in an emergency situation and billing for excessive tests (a corneal mapping test of the opposite eye which was injured).
Also the office is claiming of "yelling at them" and "threatening with a bad review", I am not sure why they feel this way or feel the need to accuse me of this when any interaction was via email and in no way threatening or contained anything that could be perceived as "yelling". I just wish that the office would have handled this issue with any sort of care or compassion instead of dismissal.
The doctor is excellent clinically and professionally. However, the administrative office processes and front staff are not always customer-friendly. While having a great doctor is very important, the total experience is also critical. I had a situation where a prescription for eyeglasses was needed, and while I already had done the consult, etc., I had to wait hours to get an email or in-person prescription. Very little interest was shown in me having my prescription, as I needed new eyeglasses after losing the ones I had.
I am compelled to share my distressing experience with the staff at Loudoun Ophthalmology, which I believe reflects a concerning level of incompetence and unprofessionalism. Recently, I received a call from their billing department, stating that I was being sent to collections for a missed appointment fee. This was particularly frustrating as I had made it clear on two separate occasions that my daughter is under the care of a different ophthalmologist.
What escalated the situation further was the billing representative's reluctance to facilitate a conversation with her manager or provide her name. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable in a professional setting. Instead of working collaboratively to resolve the misunderstanding, the staff was confrontational and dismissive, leaving me with the impression that customer service is not a priority at this establishment.
I hope that Loudoun Ophthalmology takes these concerns seriously and takes the necessary steps to train their staff in customer relations and conflict resolution. Patients deserve a respectful and supportive experience, not confrontational interactions and billing threats over miscommunication. My recommendation would be to seek care elsewhere, where patient concerns are treated with the professionalism they deserve.
Due to how sketchy the staff is in not wanting to provide a name and not wanting to consider an error on their end , I have filed a complaint with The BBB. They cannot operate as a business in this matter and get away with it .
