Dr. Gary K. Weingart & Associates

The only eye doctors office that I've used since moving to Richmond. Always friendly, always helpful. My first time working with Dr. Lucas today and she is awesome.

Always helpful and easy to get an appointment. If something is not right, they will fix it. Dr. Lucas is a wonderful addition to the office with her sweet demeanor and caring attitude. I highly recommend her and I and my family have been going to Dr. Weingart for years. I won't go anywhere else, because this office has always taken such good care of us.

Dr. Weingart was a very rude doctor but, since he's gone and I've been seeing Dr. Karen Lucas the whole office has changed. The staff are most accommodating and helpful and Dr. Lucas is very friendly and knowledgeable. It's easy to get an appointment as walk-ins are welcome.

I've been a patient of Dr. Weingart for 10+ years, and have been bringing my son to see him for the last 5. I have never had anything but a positive experience there. One thing I really appreciate is that when I make an appointment I'm seen on TIME - that combined with the fact that they have Saturday hours are priceless for a working mom.

I have seen all the doctors here. The doctors are very different, but all extremely likable. The girls at the front desk are also very nice and personable. The Doctors take their time to check you out, but you won't be there for more than 30 minutes or so, total! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Dr Lauren Lucas took over the practice several years ago. She's wonderful.

i have been going to this office for 20+ years and won't go anywhere else until i am forced to do so! i love Dr Weingardt and the entire staff! i have never had a single complaint! i would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

This doctor and his staff are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. First I walked in to the doctor sitting behind the front desk to greet me which is a little weird. The office was empty with no patients so that should have been my first red flag. No one even said "Hi." or "How are you?" Nothing. The doctor asked me why I was there and I said I had an appointment at such and such time. He just stared at my blankly and then very condescendingly said "normally, one addresses who they are and why they are here when they walk in" I should have walked out right then. He asked me to fill out some paperwork along with a HIPPA. As I started to read the HIPPA he told me to just sign it and that was just a form to release my information. I told him I knew but I just wanted to read what I was signing. He continued to make rude comments on how I just needed to sign the paper. Somewhere along the way, he walks away and another (unfriendly) staff member tries to get my insurance straight. She took my card and told me I had no coverage for an exam. I told her that was incorrect and I had my breakdown of my coverage with me. I showed it to her and she brushed me off and said "that's not what my system is telling me" She then tried to get my insurance company on the phone but when she was unsuccessful the first time, she gave up and said maybe I could try to get someone on the phone. Umm...that is not my job. That is something you should have done PRIOR to my arrival. After all, that is why I gave you my ID number when I scheduled my appointment. Clearly with the lack of patients in the office they should have had plenty of spare time to do this before I arrived for my appointment. I finally got so fed up with their lack of help and how rude everyone in the office was, I took every paper I signed and left. There were no apologies. No help. Nothing. They are some of the rudest, laziest people I have ever met. I would never go back there and I would never trust this doctor or his staff. I hate that I am even giving them my time right now to write this review but this was just how bad they were. Hopefully I can spare someone else from wasting their time and their patience with this doctor and his staff.
