Optical Expressions

I've been coming here for years for eye exams and glasses. Dr. Hartnett is thorough and takes her time explaining everything. Also they always provide outstanding customer service on the glasses side of the house. Great example of an excellent local shop!

I am over 65. during 2020 apparently I canceled an appointment on the same day, cause COVID. now, this business refuses to see me, because they claim I owe them for the canceled visit...cause I had Covid, during Covid. i do not recommend this facility, as they seem to put money over health, and do not understand the importance of an elder staying home, with covid, during covid.

Just...wow! I'm so impressed with my experience at Optical Expressions. I called to ask if they were accepting new patients, and to my surprise, I was added onto their schedule the very next day due to a cancellation. (Talk about luck!) Every member of the staff was extremely pleasant and professional. Dr. Hartnett had wonderful bedside manner and was very easy to converse with, along with clearly being an expert in her field. Tim helped me pick out my new frames out of their wide variety of inventory, and it was the fastest, easiest experience I've ever had in this process. (He definitely has an eye for the face/frame aesthetic!) Then to top it all off, he said they could have my lenses ready in about 30 minutes. After all was said and done, I was walking out of there sporting my new pair of glasses less than 24 hours after my initial phone call. (!!!) I understand this is likely a rare experience due to the cancellation on the schedule, but STILL! I'm so happy to be a new patient at Optical Expressions and look forward to continuing my eyecare with them for many years to come.

I've gone to Optical Expressions for the past ten years and they've always been great to me. Recently though I decided to try the VA because I am eligible for free services there... eleven months of waiting and two pairs of defective glasses later, I decided to give up on the VA and just go back to Optical Expressions. They cut me new lenses and installed them that day, and within the hour I had my glasses like new again! They were also sympathetic to my sad VA experience and gave me an excellent, affordable price for the service. They made my day, thank you so much!!!

18 month, 4 sets of lenses and same cracking issue. Won't stand behind what they sell.

Was in town from Pennsylvania and forgot my glasses. Got my prescription from my hometown optometrist faxed to Optical Expressions. After a short drive there, I chose my frames, they cut my lenses, and I was on my way within an hour. Kelly at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful as was Will who helped me with choosing and fitting a frame. So grateful to this place for helping me out in a jam! (and so quickly)

My mother goes to Shippee for her glasses, but due to the flooding they are closed until further notice. So I brought my mother's to Berlin Optical and asked if they could help after she had accidentally stepped on them. Berlin Optical promptly readjusted her glasses and replaced the nose pads free of charge. The young man said several people who were unable to go to their usual optometrist had already been in with similar issues recently. This has been a great example of helping people in the community out, and my mother is very happy.

Very friendly and efficient. I broken my glasses on a Friday. By Monday they had my new lenses in. I wend up and waited in my car(during Covid). They came out with glasses a variety of glasses similar in style to my old pair and once I chose within 20 minutes I had my new glasses. They were also very reasonably priced. Have been a customer for years and will continue to go back.
