Montesano Vision Center is truly amazing!
The other day I was out riding my motorcycle and stopped in Montesano for lunch. When I went to leave, I realized one of the lenses had fallen out of my glasses--the tiny screw was completely gone.
I walked into Montesano Vision Center not knowing what to expect, and they treated me like family. They were incredibly kind, immediately helped me, tightened everything up, cleaned my glasses, and had me back on the road in no time.
When I tried to pay, they refused to take a dime. That kind of generosity and customer care is rare these days.
Because of this experience, I will absolutely be going back to Montesano Vision Center for my next pair of glasses. If you're looking for honest, caring people who stand behind what they do, this is the place.
Thank you again for your kindness--you made my day!
If I could give 10 stars, I would. Dr Wills and Jody were A+ on everything... from the moment we went in there, we were welcomed with friendly faces. We had 3 appts at the same time basically, me, my husband and our son. It was our first visit, so we had to establish the info etc.. Jody did a great job juggling 3 patients concurrently lol... as each of us went in the exam room, Dr Wills was amazing addressing each one to our individual needs. For ME personally, I dread eye appts. Always have... I let DR Wills know this and he was patient with my nervousness.
We each got updates on our glasses... Jody again was a champ. We had 3 different styles and desires.. she literally spent individual time with each of us... listening to what we each wanted and we all walked out happy with our choices..
I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic.
I agree with other reviews of being coldly greeted and treated by all staff including doctor if you are not paying out of pocket. My first visit was for glasses covered with insurance. I was the only person there aside from one other customer checking out. I had to greet them first as I am standing at the desk and they barely acknowledge me. Staff and doctor was short with me. It was unprofessional but I assumed that my experience was the result of me being the last appointment of the day and everyone was ready to go home. My second visit was for contacts I am paying out of pocket. Once again ignored with me greeting them to break the silence as another client was looking at frames. During my visit with the doctor I asked basic questions on pricing and difference of quality for varying brands of clear and colored contacts and he loudly exclaimed "YOU are asking too many questions". His screen wasn't facing my direction and this location doesn't have a website with inventory prices for customer to be informed ahead of time. The doctor's customer service is just as cold as the rest of his staff. Regarding pricing I had to keep asking how much lenses would cost because his best answer was "About $90 for monthlys and more for dailys". I am clearly relaying to him I am interested in dailys and all I could get in response back for pricing is "it's gonna be more". I also want to try colored contacts and same response "it's gonna be more". They only carry mid tier 5 day trial contacts which doctor claims are "good but not the best". He shared he doesnt carry the best quality in stock for trials but can order some if I was interested. I asked him to place the order and suddenly he became hesitant to order a pack of free trial contacts of what he proclaimed "Top tier comfort and quality" so that I can try them and make my decision as to which would be a better fit. Like others who were wrongfully treated before, it wasn't until it was time for me to schedule a follow up to proceed with a bulk purchase of lenses that front desk staff perked up and barely addressed my questions of how the process worked. With the very unwelcoming customer service I am appalled to be discriminated based on race, gender, and income from all staff at Montesano Vision Center. If Montesano Vision Center cares about the feedback of a paying customer I expect a call rectifying this injustice and I will also update it in this review.
Update 3/17/25:
Doctor personally called himself and on behalf of his staff to apologize. I appreciate that he thoroughly understood and addressed where I was coming from. I look forward to my next experience at Montesano Vision Center.
Always kind. Very efficient with time. My whole family goes here and we've always had good service from the folks working here, and the doctor is very thorough.
Even when I lived in another town, I came to them for my eye care.
My eyes are so much healthier now than 8 months ago! I see a lot better too. I opted to go to Montesano, but it's good to know I can schedule in Elma if it's more convenient. State of the art diagnostic equipment (I actually don't know the name of the machines that were used but there was one id never seen before) my eye health is in good hands now! You'll have a great team taking care of your vision and eye care at Montesano Vision Center!
The entire office is fantastic! Friendly, respectful and always so helpful! I can't imagine going anywhere else.
We have been customers of Montesano Vision Center for 15 years now - both under previous ownership and also under Geoff Wills, OD. We have always been very pleased with the great level of service and the personal and intimate delivery of service. Highly recommended.
If I could write a zero or a negative zero I would. If you have state glasses or need state glasses watch out. They are very hateful to you. They treated my mother horribly, messed her glasses up then lied. I helped her choose out a light pink pair of glasses which looked really good on her. I came to pick them up and they were purple (orchid). Not to mention the glass was so thick and the line on the bifocal's were in her sightline. The nurse was very kind and helpful to another patient because she was buying expensive glasses. She never once came over to me or my mother while we were getting ours. She lied straight to my mother's face about the pink, she had even said they were nice on her when she came to collect them but then she stood there and argued with my mother that they were not pink after the mess up. She then started to say that the state was at fault, never had that happen before. another gentleman ALSO had issues with his bifocals, should have taken that as a warning sign. THEN the Dr himself had the nerve to start yelling at my mother and arguing with her saying my MOTHER was the one being hateful to his staff and he admitted that they made no money off of state glasses so his nurse probably had been acting like that. what kind of dr admits that. THEN he had said my mother's eyes were getting better at her check-up and then afterwards he said they were slightly worse. Apparently he doesn't know what he's doing either!! My mother and myself work for the state, we pay into the state and she didn't deserve to be treated like garbage from these people. They humiliated her and acted like she was nothing. THEN they were all nicey nice and so was the dr because I had an apt later that day for contacts. Oh I mean of course they were I would be paying in full. Hell no! I am going to another more competent dr one that knows what they are doing, doesn't lie, scream and argue with their customers and treats them badly. I might have to wait 2 months but the eye dr in Centralia is very compassionate and he has NEVER screwed up any of our glasses. BEWARE! If you pay out of pocket no problem they will treat you so nicely otherwise you are garbage to them.
