Valley Health - Milton at Harbour Way

Horrible experience! I was 15 minutes late and they had to reschedule it. Nobody ever mentioned this policy! But when I had to wait for way more time than 15 minutes the first time I had my eye exam, it was ok. Last time they got me on August but when I came here, I was told it was October. So I came here twice for nothing driving all the way from Huntington.

Doctor Holley was fantastic, the best experience I've had with an optometrist. She took the time to properly check everything, and happily answered any questions. She, and everyone else, was very friendly and helpful. It's the kind of experience that makes you look forward to going back the next time.

Dr Holley was very nice and polite. Went over everything very thoroughly and went above and beyond to take care of everything I need. The staff was cheerful and attentive. Treated me like family. Very customer driven. Highly recommend.

Warning!! Very bad review about a very unprofessional and disproportionate response to a simple question. This was a very unprofessional experience. My husband and I were banned from all of Valley Health Optometry for politely asking the doctor a question at the end of a visit about my husband's or my established care. We received a letter in the mail without a name or any contact information attached (other than a Valley Health Optometry letterhead) saying we're banned from all Valley Health Optometry. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone who expects reasonable communication. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy at this Milton WV Valley Health Optometry office. During this scheduled appointment, I asked if I could ask a question about my husbands or my established care ( at the end of a visit) to the optometrist and my husband regarding my husband's eye care. Instead of a helpful answer or even a polite "we can't discuss that with you", even though my husband and Dr. Riggins gave me permission to ask a question, we got banned. This wasn't a hostile question, or disrespecful question. Just a basic medical question. I've never experienced anything like this. Rather than a professional response, the office decided to ban us from all Valley Health Optometry. A simple "no" I cant answer a medical related question or a request to book a separate consultation would have sufficed, but being banned because a patient or an allowed person to ask a question is absurd. Save yourself the trouble and find a doctor with better interpersonal skills, and won't have you banned by asking a medical related question pertaining to this reason your at the visit you are at. Dr. Riggins failed to meet the standard level of care that any regular optometrist should provide. This is patient abandonment at it's finest. So this bad review is intended to hold them accountable! I will be filing a formal complaint with the West Virginia Board of Optometry.
