I came here for an eye exam for contacts and glasses, but my prescription was never right. It was changed three times, and I was told I couldn't use my usual contact lens brand at first. My vision kept getting worse and I had headaches every day. They said I just needed time to adjust to a new brand, but even after switching me back to my original one, the prescription was still way off. They kept offering more trial prescriptions, but the issues never improved, and I didn't feel comfortable continuing. I ended up going to another clinic and had to pay out of pocket there because my insurance benefits were already used. I also wasted money on a full year of contacts that I couldn't use because the prescriptions here were incorrect. The new clinic got everything right on the first try. I would NOT recommend this place

Has been a great place since day 1. Lana is a true professional and thankfully, there isn't a site to rate customers because I guarantee that I wouldn't get anything higher than zero stars . Lana will give her honest opinion on frames. Don't want to hear the truth? Don't ask for her opinion. I've never felt one bit of pressure when picking out frames. Now let's talk about Dr. Heather Stern... She has an amazing way in which she comes across going through the full eye exam not making you feel like she's been doing this all day and she has a wonderful calming voice to go along. Maybe that sounds odd but she just doesn't come across at all like some perhaps dry health professional. Wait, I'm not done. The young ladies that greet you and assist with the beginning of the eye exam. GREAT sense of humor and super kind. Well, all I can say is that they're #1! ;) So if you're shopping around for new optical care, give them a shot You can make your own decision but in my opinion, everyone is fantastic

I came here because it was listed as a store that accepted my insurance for an eye exam. The exam seemed fine. I was nervous since it was my first eye exam ever but it went ok. Intake staff and optician were friendly. Sales post exam felt really pushy. Especially since progressive eyewear started around $600 and went up from there. I took my prescription info elsewhere. After shopping around locally, I can safely say this shop's progressive eyeglasses were about 20 percent overpriced. No big deal, as everything seems to be going up in price everywhere. I'm just noting this for anyone else on a strict budget. I docked an additional star because when I filled out the initial paperwork, I was told they accept my insurance and my exam would be covered. After the exam when I was given the prescription paperwork, I was given the invoice which said I owned nothing. A month passed and I was mailed a bill saying I owed $21. There's teeny tiny print that says this is an estimate on the paperwork I had been given. Yet at the top of the paper in bold it says Invoice. The ethical way would be to change that bolded title at the top of the paperwork so it says either Estimate or Estimated Invoice. So there's no surprises later. Interesting side note: I had private insurance. My mother went in with me and was given a test using her Medicare Advantage Plan. Neither of us bought glasses, this was just a comprehensive eye exam. For some reason my exam cost $100 more. I'm assuming this happened because the allowed amount for Medicare was lower than private insurance. Which would make you think there's no set amount for an eye exam. It costs whatever they try and charge to your insurance (and in turn ends up being the allowed cost. You then owe the difference.) Someone walking in off the street with no insurance would be charged an entirely different amount than the two of us. When I inquired with other shops while shopping for glasses, I was told that they had set amounts for exams for anyone regardless of insurance. When you had insurance, they billed that flat amount to the insurance company and it was authorized and paid in full. I was told the different amounts depending on type insurance was a way to extract more money out of an exam sale because they didn't know beforehand what the allowed insurance amount for an exam was. This way they didn't "leave money on the table" by asking for too little. This is a common billing practice for more expensive procedures done in hospitals for example, but seems excessive for something like a routine eye exam.

Lana who helps you with ordering your glasses is simply the best. She has been there for as long as I have been going to that location (around 15 years). She is the reason I keep coming back. She recently went above and beyond when I scratched my Maui Jim Sun glasses and needed them for vacation. After work she dropped them at a Fed ex location to ship back and have the lenses replaced. She obviously went out of her way to do this. She had my glasses back 2 days before I left. She always does a phenomenal job! Can't say enough good things about her.
