I had such a wonderful experience here. The kindest, most welcoming experience at a doctor I have ever had. They were patient and sweet during my entire visit. I buy my glasses online and they didn't give me a hard time about not purchasing there. 10 out of 10 recommend!!

I was attempting to schedule an eye exam for my 4 yr old but discovered that so many places won't even see a child until they are at least 5 yrs old. I reached out to Mayville Vision and they were happy to see him and work with us to get him evaluated. They were so warm and welcoming from the second we walked in and made my usually timid kiddo very comfortable. I especially appreciated that my concerns were taken seriously, I never felt like they were being dismissed, and they even explained what was most likely going on based on the symptoms I had noticed before they even took a look. Michelle and Esther were both fantastic with him and so patient. He had a previous eye exam with a children's specialist that was traumatic so I was a bit nervous going in but had no reason to be! After the exam they were so great with helping him pick out frames. The only downside, according to my son, was that he had to leave without his new glasses and he really didn't want to! But after a special treat from them and a promise that we would come back and get his glasses as soon as they are ready, he decided he was ok with that plan. Thank you for your help and taking such good care of my little guy!

Went in for an appointment today and was disappointed in the hospitality of the receptionist. When I walked in, she did not smile or have a friendly demeanor. Her interaction was very cold and spoke robotically with minimal eye contact. I was immediately put off and didn't want to be there. That is one of the most important interactions during a visit and sets the tone for how at ease the patient will feel. It seems to be getting harder to get friendly service so it was disappointing to encounter that here in Mayville. I added a star bc there was another woman who was much more friendly with her interaction. But by that time, I was already too put off to engage. Kindness and a smile go a long way, and it's needed these days.

Totally wonderful experience! From the friendliness of the phone call for appointment, then the appointment today. Very thorough eye exam, a warmth and caring from the Dr, to the ladies who went above and beyond to really help me choose glasses, offering opinions, suggestions, everything so pleasant, everyone so kind and helpful. Amazing people that care! So grateful I made my appointment here. I also want to add that they spent much time with me, even waiting for me to send pictures of the glasses on me, and even fixed my old glasses!! Incredible service from people that care.

Poor service. Wasted my time and money. She adjusted my prescription so that I needed a stronger reading glasses but I couldn't see. Couldn't even wear the contacts she gave me. She put contacts back to regular prescription but left glasses at new prescription and somehow I'm supposed to bounce back and forth between the two??? The glasses give me eye fatigue and a headache every time I wear them. So that's $300+ down the drain because they flat out refuse to fix. The assistant even absurdly told me, don't move your eyes when you move your head, umm that's just automatic dear, but glad you have 18 years of experience, it clearly didn't help me at all. Will never return.

I have gone to Mayville Vision for many years, and I'm very disappointed in the new staff. In my experience, the doctor is and has always been a lovely person, but she was the only member of the staff wearing a mask. I don't appreciate having two people breathing in my face and telling me it's okay to take off my own mask to try on frames, especially if I'm the only person in the room wearing one! If you aren't going to mask up, you need to tell me that when I call to make my appointment. Extremely inconsiderate.

I had been to Mayville Vision for 2 pairs of glasses now...and I will NOT be going back. My first experience, no problems what so ever. This was not the case with my most recent visit. I had my exam done like normal every 2 years. I'm pretty sure the doctor was in a rush to leave for the day because I was the last one there and she left immediately after my exam was done. I picked out some new frames they had in the store but I didn't care for the army green color. The woman helping me said they could order them in black or gun metal. I chose the gun metal and 2 weeks later my glasses were ready. Upon picking them up, I was not impressed. The prescription clearly was not what I needed. They made my eyes hurt instantly and it has not improved months later. The frames I had them order were indeed gun metal. But the plastic pieces on the side had leopard print on them...I thought they would be a grey or gun metal since that's what I ordered. When I got home with them, my wife informed me that I was not allowed to wear them in public, they looked that bad. 2 days later my wife loaded up our toddler and twin infants and went to the store to find out if there was a way to change the pattern on the sides and to let them know we weren't happy with the glasses I had but wasn't going to wear. After waiting 20 minutes to talk with someone, the woman behind the counter said that they order colors based on the color of the actual frame itself and what's on the sides is up to the manufacturer and that's what we get for ordering something we didn't actually see. She also stated that it's not their problem because I should have known all this. Mayville Vision apparently believes their customers know the ins and outs of everything to do with glasses and eye care and were completely unwilling to help us in any way to resolve these issues. I will never be returning to a place that is willing to be this rude to my wife who showed up in person to try to resolve an issue, rushed through an exam and ultimately ends up with a customer and insurance company who has forked out a small fortune for glasses I don't even want to wear anywhere that people might see me. I will never recommend this place to anyone! I tried to support a small local business...but if I can get better service than this at Walmart...I guess that's where I'll go. I wish there was a 0 star option.

Didn't get the correct prescription and one lady was very rude claiming i have coke bottle lenses maybe she should think more about her client's and less about her tattoos.. I went to another eye care doctor and my vision is definitely alot better. Just sayin
