Salem Vision Center, Inc. Dr. Peter J. Kalinka O.D.

This has been my eye doctor for about almost 20 years. Should I say was? I have throughout the years dealt with some sarcasm/disrespectfulness from th woman that work there on more occasions than I would like to put out there. But it is close inconvenient as I live right around the corner. About a month ago, I had an encounter that I had called because I had two different prescriptions for one eye?! First off how does that happen? Second off that should never happen. As I was expressing to this woman my situation, she proceeds to hang the phone up on me. After that, I walked in to their clinic. I proceeded to say since I get hung up on, I will have to finish it further in here she proceeded to smile in my face, then proceeds to tell me I owe a balance as I already paid that off. I know people get funded by the truth at times, but I said maybe you guys should pay more attention because how do you have two different prescriptions for one eye and as well as oh I'm sorry she didn't know that I had I receipt paying off my contact thank God in my wallet The list goes on, but the amount of disrespect these women put out to are there customers is disgusting and we are talking about grown women with children. I will never stop footing that place again People need to start taking more responsibility for their own actions. My name is Vanessa

Dr Kalinka and staff so friendly and amiable. The doctor is very thorough and professional, he helped me get a better prescription than I was given at a "big box" store. Thank you for your expert testing and listening to your patient .

I absolutely love ALL the ladies that work at the Salem clinic! Val always goes above and beyond. (Love ya girl!) The doctor is very knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend Salem Vision!

Love this office! I've been seeing Dr. Kalinka for over 20 years! His staff is second to none! I travel yearly from Milwaukee to see him. He has taken care of all my families vision needs from their first eye exam, to fitting their first contacts, and from pokes in the eye to eye infections. His staff is fabulous on getting us in whenever I called! Val is the best assistant ever! She is so helpful in choosing frames and will even order frames that she knows I'll like! I just picked up my new glasses today and she kept adjusting my frames until they felt perfect! I highly recommend Salem Vision Center to everyone! There is no other place I can think of that gives you this type of personal care and attention.

So their lab broke my frames and the vision center called me and said my warranty doesn't cover that. Nice try but, business ethics dictate, if you broke it you pay for it! Well the vision center didn't agree with that but eventually and reluctantly paid for new frames. These people need to be out of the people business and instead on some remote island basket weaving!

I visited Salem Vision Center for the first time today and loved it! Dr. Kalinka took the time to explain things no other doctor has for me and did a very thorough exam. The office ladies were wonderful and very helpful as well!

He is always available and accommodating. I've been seeing Dr. K.for over 20 years. Super doctor and solves my issues. A very knowledgeable and compassionate man. If he can't solve your problem he sends you on to another doctor higher up. I can't praise him and his staff enough!!!!
