Dr arriving after 4 hrs of planned operation time Surgery charges are not transparent. Hygiene was not good Staff behaviour is very rude. Payment took 5 min but reception person intervened multiple times why not happening. So impatient. After full payment also, staff near OT was not aware of payment status and was asking about it. These are very few issues after going for best dr surgery. I am quite sure this would not be happening for first time.

I’ve been a patient here since 2013, and back then, the hospital was genuinely good. The doctor used to take time with every patient, really trying to get to the root of the problem. Unfortunately, things have changed drastically over the years. Now, it feels like they’re just printing money—there’s no empathy, no real concern for the patient’s well-being. And this is especially alarming when you’re dealing with something as serious as someone’s vision. If you have keratoconus, I strongly advise against coming here. The treatment approach is outdated and rushed. You’re much better off going to a trusted hospital in Delhi, like Eye7, where they actually focus on improving your vision, not just preserving it. Don’t waste your time or put your eyesight at risk here.

It was exactly on this day one month ago i.e. 4th of Oct 2022 that I had my appointment at Dristri Eye hospital. I reached there by abt 11:30am and got all my tests done by around 4 pm. After that I was taken to a big room where I met Dr. Luthera for the first time. He was so cordial and made me feel so comfortable. Not only me but also he interacted with my brother in a very friendly manner. He told us about the latest SMILE surgery after which my specs would be removed. Talking to him I could discern that he has an immense knowledge of his work and he knows what he is saying very well. We got an appointment for the surgery for the following day i.e. 5th Oct 22. Next day we reached the hospital by 12:30 as we were instructed to and I got some more tests done on this day. We met the doc after all the tests and he made me feel very relaxed about the surgery. We were given a list of medicines which my brother bought and brought. We paid for the surgery and I was taken to the OT. I was made to wear the surgical gown, my eyes were cleaned with some solution and I was all ready for the surgery excited and nervous both simultaneously. My brother was in the adjacent room and clicked my pictures in tat gown through glass door from the other room. He was equally nervous as I was probably more. Just then I was called by the doctor and I was all excited to bid adieu to my specs. I entered the OT and doc told me that he cannot perform the surgery on me. I was quite shocked andd thought it to be some prank. But then he told me that my corneal thickness is very less and after the surgery it would be at border line of 5 mm and I will still have to wear glasses of at least 1 or 1. 5 power. He told me that they also get to know abt this after feeding all the data in the laser machine and its not known to them also from before. I was told that I was a rare case that exists 1 in 10,000. He instead suggested me for IPCL in which a lens from Switzerland will be implanted inside my eyes. I asked to call my brother and everything was told to him also. He was also shocked and I got a little emotional for a moment but then I realized what a gem of a person I have met, who after receiving full operation fees of Rs.121000, is telling me the truth just 5 minutes before the surgery. He could have performed the surgery just for the sake of money and I would have never been to discern the truth. But at that moment my respect for him as a doctor and as a human being multiplied. In today's era where doctors and hospitals exist who keep the dead patients on ventilator just for money; here I witnessed an exemplary example of a doctor who refunded the already deposited fee and even the cost of medicines purchased from there was refunded. After he performed another surgery, he met us downstairs and apologized and i was shocked that he is such a benevolent person who is honest, humble and grounded. In this whole journey, the hospital staff Shivani mam and Sakshi mam helped us a lot and were very supportive. Infact they told me that it was the first ever case that the patient came out of the OT without the surgery. But I believe whatever happens, happens for the good. I met such an altruistic person and was so inspired by his honesty and dedication towards his work and his truthfulness that I have a great respect for him and will always have.

I am feeling perfect after smile surgery by gaurav sir. Surgery was good. Before I had very much blurred vision , but now my vision is 6/6 and now I am eligible for medical examination for government jobs . Staff has been very caring and decent specially Mr. Pradeep panwar .

As we entered the Drishti eye institute, the hygiene and the good and pleasant smells captured our attention. The alert and attentive staff served and helped us a lot. Doctor Gaurav Luthra has been very kind to us and filled with patience and confidence. As he spoke to us, I could tell that, this man knows what is he speaking about.
