I started visiting her in 2020. In 2021 I took my mother to visit her. She was suffering from glaucoma and initially she prescribed eyedrops for her. On March 2023 she operated my mother’s left eye for both cataract and glaucome together. The surgery was quite painful and expensive(around 80k). Again on Nov 2024 she said the right eye needs to be operated and this time she recommened to insert an i-stent and not the trab which was done in the other eye. Also she said the previous eye she operated might have to get operated again. Also to mention after the previous surgery there was not much difference in my mother’s vision. When she again asked to get the right eye operated her team gave me an estimate of 2 lacs. Also they took the payment for several tests that day including perimetry which they did not perform neither they refunded the amount. I consulted 2 more ophthalmologist and both said that her previous trab surgery was not required and it was not successful also since the trab stopped working. They also said that there is no need to get any surgery for glaucoma in the right eye. Only cataract surgery would be enough. The left eye surgery trab surgery was also not required. Only eyedrops where fine to deal the issues caused for glaucoma. My mother is doing fine now after the cataract surgery in the right eye. No surgery for glaucoma was done. We also got to know that the lens provided by Dr. Swati for the cataract surgery was a yellow lens which is not recommended for glaucoma patient. She is just running a business. We trusted her and she simply cheated us. I would never recommend anyone to her.

My mother is a regular patient of Dr.Swati Agarwal and so are other relatives. I have always heard good things about her - not just of her medical skills but also of the way she interacts with her patients. In a world where most doctors are in a rush, it's a pleasant change to meet a doctor who takes time to make the patients feel at ease discussing their problems and clarifying their queries.

I went just for a routine eye check up to Dr Swati Agarwal and for no good reason she asked me to get a testing for Glaucoma which costed me more than 6000 rs (doc fees separate). Despite there was no "power" in my eyes neither there was any problem of "eye pressure" she still asked me do this testing which created a big hole in my pocket. This is completely unethical and unacceptable. We dont expect this from doctors whom we look upon as nothing less than god. #show some respect to our hard earned money!!!
