Overall very pleased with my experience at Rumah Sakit Mata Ramata. As a tourist who doesn't speak Indonesian, the experience couldn't have been better. The staff are very professional and courteous. They speak good English and I didn't encounter any problems. I booked an appointment a few hours in advance using WhatsApp, and everything ran smoothly.

As a tourist with an eye issue, it was surprisingly hard to find a good optometrist. I was so happy with this hospital! Booking was easy (and in English!) over WhatsApp. The nurses spoke English well, and my doctor was competent and helpful. Overall just a very good experience. The hospital itself felt a bit dingy, and it was a little bit hard to navigate where to go. But helpful personnel was everywhere, so I managed. Thanks for taking care of my eyes while I was in Bali!

Fantastic Service! My daughter got something in her eye while riding on our scooter. The pain had persisted for 2 days, so we went first to visit BaliMed Canggu Clinic. While they were not able to help us, the doctor there gave us a great recommendation - come to Ramata Hospital, they have great eye doctors. We visited Ramata hospital yesterday, and from start to finish, it was a great experience. First, we checked in and were greeted by courteous staff (the snack box was also appreciated). We were seen by Dr Tami and her staff, who were all kind and friendly, which calmed by daughter quite a bit. She was able to put a contract dye in my daughter's eye, and then finally to see the object that was causing the problems with my the eye (a small piece of glass). She removed it right away, so after about 15 minutes with Dr. Tami, we left the hospital very happy. They treated my daughter well, solved the problem, and all at an affordable price. I would highly recommend Ramata Hospital to anyone needing help with their eyes. Thank you!

Very bad service. 9 month pregnant, we made an appointment and drive 1,5 hours. When we arrive they said it’s not possible today 😒 Edit details: 1. We requested an appointment via WhatsApp 2. customer service told us to make appointment via the BPJS app and come according to the appointment given by the app. 3. We came exactly according the the appointment. 4. The clinic saw that we had the appointment on Sunday and did NOT inform us that it's not possible on Sunday until we arrived.

Avoid this optical department at all costs. The staff, especially Iin, are utterly incompetent and unprofessional. I had to visit three times, yet I still don’t have my glasses. They promised a free refraction test if I ordered glasses from them, but after the test, they admitted they couldn’t even determine the correct prescription. Now they are forcing me to see a doctor—at an extra cost of 500,000 IDR or more—just so the doctor can write down the exact same refraction data on paper. This is either sheer incompetence or a deliberate scheme to extract more money from customers. Either way, it’s unacceptable. Don’t waste your time and money here.

A clinic driven by profit rather than care. Prices are unjustifiably high, with service and staff quality failing to match. Their priority seems to be your money, not your well-being. They charge for everything—even if you just come to buy medicine, you’ll have to pay an extra fee. Makes you wonder—are they struggling financially because no one actually wants to be treated there?

Worse experience in a long time. Went to see Dr. Wayan Gede Jaya Negara for a check up. The Doctor couldn’t get my eye checked properly as the required equipment wasn’t functioning in the hospital. Instead he referred me to another hospital and tried to prescribe me some lubricating eye drops which wasn’t related at all to the issue I came with.

A clean and modern eye hospitals. The service is good, from the Security officer, receptionist, nurses, doctors, all are very helpful and communicative. Had eye operations here under BPJS Kesehatan program and didn't have to pay anything anymore. My doctor is thorough, communicative, and did my operations well. EDITED REVIEW: From 5 stars to 3 stars The waiting time is just TOO LONG!!! Patients were told to do reservations to get appointment with the doctors. Once, I was told to come at 11am, my queue number was 26. The doctor started her practice at 11-ish. And I finally got to meet my doctor at 15.40, after waiting for ALMOST 5 HOURS!!! I asked the customer service, why were we told to come so early if we have to wait for hours? Why bother the reservation then? However, none of the CS could give me answer. They all looked confused too... And this is not the first time, mind you. My average waiting time is 3 hours. All with so called appointment by reservation. What a WASTE OF TIME!!! And today, I was told to come at 16.45, queue number 6. The doctor was supposed to come at 17.00. But patients were told at 17-ish that the doctor will be late and come at around 19.30-ish. We were offered to reschedule or to wait. Both options are NOT GOOD. I personally had to make arrangements, moving my schedules to meet today's appointment. And, that's what I'll have to do every time I had a doctor's appointment here (and maybe most patients,too). It's already the year of 2025. Could the hospital please do something about this?
