I had a metal rust lodged in my eye (didn't know @ the time) when we were travelling through Goa, chapora fort. I managed to held on hoping the pain would go away after a good night's rest, but it got aggravated and the eye swelled. Went around Margoa in the midnight since we were close by. We found "Borkar nursing home" which was open and went in. The duty doctor called to Dr Ravina Borkar, around 2am mid night. To our surprise, she guided the duty doctor to clean the eye and also have a antibacterial eye cream asking us to revisit in the morning. After the revisit, the doctor was able to identify the foreign object and removed it. Considering the fact that it was a metal rust, she immediately got it removed without any complicated procedures with a simple anesthesia drop, her expert hands and a few tools at her disposal. The pain reduced immediately upon removal. With some eye drops and ointment continuation, we are treating the eye with care. Thanks to Dr Ravinas professionalism we were able to finish our ordeal and continued to rest for the day and then travelled back.
