Matri Prerna Eye Hospital, Ranchi

Hospital is not par with even basic facilities. Non-negotiable Rate for Toric Indian lens 90,000/- & Toric Imported Lens is 135,000/- for one lens. Even after paying such huge amount, the front desk in case of an emergency, does not even have the mobile number of Dr. Vivek Sahay or Dr. Anju or Dr. Roy (TPA) to begin with. They are just sitting lame ducks on the front desk allowed only to accept money from patient on behalf of hospital, rest accountability of the same is held by no one. Even follow calls are available properly or updates on Insurance is a far cry.

These people don't want to return the insurance money. They keep saying they'll return it once the insurance is cleared, but they never do. When you go to the hospital, the papers are kept somewhere, and they call you the next day—just wasting time.

I get very bad experience in matri prerna hospital the staffs are behaving very rudely and they are also doing some kind of fraud in mediclaim service

I have read all reviews many which are highly critical and am writing this review with my own experience of having been operated for cataract recently. Dr Vivek Sahay is a very skilled surgeon with vast experience. Moreover he was very honest in his advice as it certainly was not influenced by commercial consideration. And for this reason I would go to him again if need arises though I have residence in Delhi as well. There is of course some matter for which users get put off by the hospital. One is the incompetence of the front desk. They do not provide complete information over phone calls and get confrontational with patients when they arrive. Perhaps due to monetary problems I did not find them willing to run the AC though at times it is needed even in late September. Provision of at least a cup of coffee would greatly help.The management should take these defiency seriously. For the reasons of Dr Vivek Sahay's professionalism and that the technical staff are polite and competent, I would recommend this hospital highly. However I do hope that they will seek advice of hospital management consultants to guide them over come their deficiencies.

Vivek Sahay the Great doctor! He listens to the problem with politeness and prescribes the minimum medicines. Fee is 750 which is little high for Ranchi considering the unorganised system and services this hospital provide. I will still say if you are looking for a good doc other things can be avoided.

I am highly satisfied with the treatment. If you are looking for advanced eye care in Ranchi this is an excellent place to be. Highly recommended.

I had cataract surgery of my right eye got done on 29 Nov'23 in MPEH under care of Dr Vivek Sahay. Pre-operative preliminary investigations using modern equipment by well trained support staff ; operation by expert hand ; and post-operative care instructions meticulously reviewed- all combined, helped me a great deal for me - a super senior citizen at 80 now, to regain both distant and near visions in four weeks time. Two months ago I came here for the cataract surgery of my Father. He underwent cataract surgery in his left eye and after the treatment now he can see clearly and is very much satisfied with the level of treatment. Matri Prerna Eye Hospital has helped him to restore his vision so I would like to thank them in heaps. Definitely the best eye hospital in Ranchi.
