Dr Bikramjit Pal is an excellent doctor- very caring for the patient by providing the right advice that is beneficial for the patient. He undertook my Mom’s case which was at very complex and sensitive stage due to her health situation and Dr Pal provided a very good line of sight for the treatment which included surgery and post surgery recovery and care. I have a history of multiple Retinal Detachments in Right eye and hemmorhage in Left eye. Since, I have been staying out of Ranchi for the past few years, when I developed symptoms of retinal detachment in left eye in July 2020, my biggest tension was finding a good retinal surgeon in Ranchi due to lockdown which was preventing me to visit LVPEI, Sankar Netralaya or alternate eye hospitals. Through some sources I came to know about Dr. B K Pal who has recently started his clinic in Ranchi and browsing through the reviews written by some of his patients I was half relieved. The remaining half was also achieved when I met him for consultation. He is one of best docs that I have met till date and trust me that I have met quite a few over the past years due to my recurrent eye problems. Not only did he explain each aspect of the planned surgery in detail but he gave ample time especially to my parents to clear all their doubts and tensions regarding the same. The surgery was planned within a week and it was very professionally executed. The best part were the follow-ups where he took extreme care and even though he was unavailable for few days due to COVID situation, he made sure that I got proper care and attention. Even during this period he would personally call and enquire my progress and advise accordingly which was an altogether new experience. During my visits to his clinic, I have witnessed that he and his efficient staff giving personal care and attention to all patients especially kids and elderly people. Moreover, he doesn't seem at all money minded and commercially motivated as the prime attention is on patient care which sets him apart from many others in this region. I recommend that everyone especially from eastern part of the country visit Dr. Pal for all issues related to retina and ocular oncology. On October 30th 2023, we consulted with Dr. Bikramjit P Pal in an emergency situation concerning my father, who was diagnosed by him with a large HST with SRF and hemorrhage. Dr. Pal recommended the urgent requirement of cryo with pneumatic retinopexy, and the procedure was successfully carried out the following day. Fortunately, the suggested treatment proved to be effective, and my father's vision showed improvement every week.
