Modern Eye Hospital & Laser Centre

Name is modern, but system and services is backward. Better go somewhere else, it's not like this is the only eye doctor in shimoga. The staff is so pathetic and rude, don't know even how to handle, when you ask for appointment they tell to call on Saturday but call doesn't even connect. And they tell to send letter, didn't expect this from a hospital. And when you physically go there on Saturday,also you will not get appointment. And staff doens't even talk properly or anything.

Very disappointing. I had visited for the first time . They give appointment for 11.00 AM that too a week before and then they make us to wait for 2-3 hrs . I went there at 11.30 , I waited for 2 hrs and then came back . Very poor management. No comment on Doctor as I didn’t get chance to meet him as the waiting was too long .

Staff management is the worst and there is a lot of waiting time. I took an appointment for 10 am but got checked at 1:30 pm, No one seems to follow the schedule and the entry to the doctor cabin is random. Very much dissatisfied with staff and management. There is no complaint with the doctor. I've been visiting dr. Jayanth Rao for 10 years and I am very satisfied with his treatment.

Do NOT go here for Laser treatment, they just take money and the treatment made my Dodddappa's eyes completely blind. He was able to see 50% before treatment but now nothing and the doctor and staff sent them back home saying no word. This is real experience in 2024. Doctors are for money nowadays they have forgotten their Oath. At least they should say NO if it doesn't work.

Didn’t find any inconvenience with the staff. Got well service and a great doctor. For eye check up most of my relatives and friends visited to this clinic. No waiting of long hours. Registration is from 9am to 12pm(done on Saturdays only). Treatment cost also not so high. Consultation is from Monday to Friday. I recommend it.

The doctor is good but the appointment system is the worst. they provide appointments only on saturdays. Moreover they dont pick up calls on saturday. They should keep some alternative to get appointments. the receptionist is so rude she is not ready to listen. when i asked her to give an appointment , she told " take appointment in some other hospital as the appointments are full".the appointment system is way too bad

No comments about Doctor and his treatment. Their appointment system is problematic because for just one appointment people have to come at 6 am and stand in line until 9 am, then they take 30 appointments for each day for next week and if we didn't get the appointment, we have to wait until the following Saturday and do the same thing. The staff is awful, they don't even know how to interact with people after the booking hours, and they don't even care about listening for a single word after the booking hours. It took me 3 weeks to arrange an appointment for my grandmother, and I even explained the severity of her eye pain but still, the staff didn't care.

Very very very worst staff. They don't even receive the phone. Patients from far places should run around them like dog.. getting appointment is the toughest job here..this worst management is spoiling the doctor reputation. Dr. Jayanth is the best but they should look into the issue which all the patients are struggling for getting appointment. Please change the policy.
