DR SANDEEP SHENOY Mahalaxmi Eye Hospital

Came here to see Dr. Sandeep to remove a few stitches from my eye after my full thickness corneal transplant (at a different hospital). Had a terrible experience with him. He was very rough in taking out the stitches, was talking on his phone halfway through the procedure and when he couldn't take out one stitch, he made me walk to the OT with a half removed stitch in my eye (that was sharp and prevented me from blinking) and made me wait till he prepared the OT. Never had such a traumatic or painful experience with my stitch removal prior to this. On top of that his clinic refuses to give appointments after the first appointment even though stitch removal is a repeating appointment type process - saying that "we don't give appointments because what if peope don't show up". No scans were taken, no consideration to risk of astigmatism when removing stitches, very arrogant and rude behavior and worst of all, making me walk with a half removed stitch and teary and painful eyes around the hospital instead of a single, painless, sterile treatment. Will never be coming here again.

You will be get fooled with hospital discount amount during the insurance process. Insurance says that it's a hospital discount but this idiots will say it should be paid by patients. Amount is like 2200. My reviews are keep on deleting but I will keep on posting again again for awareness. Never pay hospital discount they should reach to insurance company or you get in touch with your insurance providers.

I have no doubt about the credibility of the doctors here. Surgery took only 15min and painless but the Billing is the most painful part they are taking close to 4 hours. This is harrasment. Staffs in the billing counters have no skills other than saying we will call you when we're done. Please fix this process or educate your staffs to give valid reasons for the delay.

Excellent treatment and care from doctor with detailed checkup. Also staff responded very well. It was reasonable price for all kind of treatment
