As mentioned by other customers, dealing with this facility as an insured patient has been extremely frustrating. It's surprising that the internet was down for half a day, especially considering the hospital is located in the heart of the city. In this era of 5G, even remote areas often have more reliable connectivity.. The service is sluggish, particularly from Swarna, Mr. Acharya, and several other staff members related to insurance, with chaltha hai attitude , unnecessary delays and poor communication. There was also an unjustified charge of ₹1,000 at the end, despite the insurance clearly stating it was not payable — raising concerns about billing transparency. That said, the doctors themselves are commendable and provide excellent care. PS:A tip to the management: please avoid responding with a generic, pre-drafted reply to this review. Instead, consider genuinely addressing the issues raised above.

Very bad experience as the staffs are not trained and equipped to manage the crowd. I have seen rude behaviours of Insurance department and the counsellor (Swarna) as they are bothered only about money and not about patient trust and satisfaction! If we have Insurance claim, there is no clarity about bills were given. They confuse us a lot, asks us to run here and there and God knows what tests they do! They asks us wait and forget us to call back! Doctors are good and polite though! Unfortunately no one bothered to listen once we are admitted to cataract surgery... they act at thier own pace... horrible!

Worst of treatment worst of staffs and doctor, Not given to proper test for pashient....waste of reports waste of time waste of money......we are not serious problem for eye but staffs are given 2,3 unnesasary tests for patients.... Worst of treatments....waste of money.... hospital not given proper treatment....only given some tests hospital doing only money not prepare treatment.......

I visited today and experience was horrible, hospital is full of patients and it’s very congested, staff are good but there are helpless because their system need to be improved. I waited 4 hrs for consultation and again 1 hour for bill and file. Better u can put a case sheet to write doctors about their patients complaints and systematic app for medicine prescription which can be printed on doctors cabin only and consultation fees on registration counter only. This can help more in saving time and rush

REVIEW OF MY IOL EYE SURGERY AT PRASAD NETRALAYA HOSPITAL IN UDUPI I had Intraocular Lens (IOL) Eye Surgery done a Prasad Netralaya hospital in Udupi in October 2024. On October 23rd, I was operated on my right eye. The next day, October 24th, I was operated on my left eye. I stayed overnight at the hospital. The procedure was painless. I did not feel any pain at all during the surgeries which took around 10 to 15 minutes. Doctor Krishna Prasad operated on my right eye. Doctor Paresh Poojary operated the next day on my left eye. The purpose of the IOL Eye Surgery was to remove a clouded natural lens (cataract) and replace it with a clear Zeiss trifocal lenses. My vision improved within a few days, but full stabilization is taking time. My surgery took place over 4 weeks ago. I am still experiencing glare and halos at night, but I have to say that those symptoms are gradually diminishing. Doctor Krishna Prasad prescribed eye drops that I had to take several times a day for the first 4 weeks after surgery. He prescribed additional drops to be taken during the next 3 months to consolidate the healing process and reduce the possibility of dry eyes. On the positive side, I am now able to read the screen of my smart phone without having to use my reading glasses. I am very happy about that. Also, I am able to notice details when gazing at long distances that I would not have been able to see before my surgery. I spend a lot of time working on my laptop computer. In early mornings, I still experience a certain amount of blurriness Also, when trying to read very fine print, I still have to put on my old prescription glasses. My understanding is that these shortcomings will decrease within the next few months. Final vision results are supposed to be typically achieved by 6-12 weeks, though minor refinements may continue. All in all, I am satisfied with my experience at Pradad Netralaya Eye Hospital in Udupi and with the results of my surgery. Moreover, the staff of the hospital were most pleasant, helpful and patient with all the questions I posed during my visits. I am particularly thankful to Miss Suman, the patient affairs counsellor for her thorough dedication to her work and all the help she gave me before and after the surgery. She displayed the patience of a saint. Prasad Netralaya Eye Hospital uses top of the line equipment that is up to par with most hospitals in the US and Europe. Most of all, the costs of the surgery and follow up appointments were reasonable.

I went for a check up, tests that should take 30 min to get a fitness certificate it took them 3 hours and then I get told to come for another round of test which is pointless, me not being a medical person i could see through the B...S. The just waste time, if you are planning to visit this hospital have alot of time to spare because of tests you don't require

Visited there 4 times recently for my elderly mothers cornea treatment. Dr Sharat and the entire medical & non medical staff were caring, kind and gave her good treatment improving her eyesight & confidence. The insurance & canteen staff were also good. Happy and I feel safe to visit without fear of being cheated.
