I heard that if a patient purchases glasses prescribed by the hospital's doctors, the prescribed doctor verifies the glasses before they are handed over to the patient, which is really nice. Currently, there are 5 ophthalmologists available. We consulted Dr. Reshmi, and she was very friendly."

Although I arrived around 7:00 PM, close to their closing time (7:30 PM), the staff were extremely polite, professional, and welcoming. Despite the late hour, they ensured I received proper care without any hesitation. A special mention to Fathima, who assisted me exceptionally well. She was kind, patient, and guided me throughout the process, making my visit smooth and comfortable. The doctor was also very professional, providing a thorough check-up and addressing all my concerns with great expertise. The overall service at Ahalya Eye Hospital was excellent, and I truly appreciate their commitment to patient care. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for quality eye care in Kollam.

I had a very unprofessional experience with both the receptionist and pharmacy staff. The receptionist handed me someone else's bill receipt after payment. Additionally, the doctor did not provide clear instructions on what needed to be done. She simply told me to go to the ground floor for further steps, but the optometrists there were unaware of what the doctor had said.

My dad's cataract surgery was done at Ahalia Kollam by Dr. Rakhi. This review is mainly about the doctor. Dr Rakhi is one of the kind and empathetic doctor we have met. She had patiently explained every steps and options available to us. Every consultation from the first one to the post operative checkup was a pleasant experience to us. She always had the answers ready for the questions me and especially dad had in his mind, even before asking😊 I recommend rakhi mam and ahaliya for cataract surgery. Other staff are friendly but I felt they are kind of clueless at times and lack coordination. It can be improved.
