OVERPRICED !! WORST PLACE TO BE FOR YOUR EYES ! STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!! I have been to a lot of places around the world but never ever seen a business running with this little ethics. They have kept the name as sams opticals eye hospital , so I walked in for an eye test. Waited about 1 hr and finally met the doctor . After the doctor gave me the prescription the staff insisted on checking the glasses. I went ahead and checked some glasses and found out that the glasses are all overpriced. So after looking at a few options I was not happy with the price and brands they were carrying . So I told them that I will just take the doctors prescription and check glasses later. They completely turned at me and said that they don’t let customers take glasses from other shops since the doctor is in their clinic. I was so shocked to hear it. Believe me nowhere in the world I have heard this ethics. They told they would give me the prescription as I would have to choose from anything available or else I will have to adjust my choices accordingly. I told them to give me a photo of the prescription and they ended up saying they won’t even show the prescription unless the payment is made for the glasses. (Note: I have already paid for the doctors consulting) I asked them , why they didn’t mention this earlier or during the time I was waiting they didn’t mention about this. And the staff replied saying this is what our boss have instructed us and can’t do anything. He told he can give ma a refund of the consulting fees and I should leave. I asked him about the time I wasted and he said this is their rules and that’s what his boss have instructed . Too bad to see this experience from SAMS OPTICALS , I always had a good impression of the shop as I used to see the name board but seeing at other peoples review here I believe this is a usual thing for them. STAY Away From them!

Avoid this shop at any cost. Let me explain my experience. I visited this shop to purchase a new spectacles on July-2022. After so much of the staff's explanation I decided to buy a crizal lens, which they said unbreakable and a rimless frame. The lens coasted around 4000rs and the frame costed around 2000rs. Got the spectacle in a week. After a month usage I noticed small cracks at the place the frame is attached to the lens. On a fine day after 2 months of purchase the glass fell down and the unbreakable lens is broken. Visited the shop again for replacement, shockingly the woman staff told the glass is not unbreakable and I should have spend another 500rs for unbreakable at the time of purchase. And there is no warranty, I need to spend another 5000rs to fix the glass. I got angry and left the shop without buying new glass. I approached another branded shop in Kollam city, they examined the glass and found that I have given a basic model of crizal lens which cost only 2000rs. This is when I checked bill and the crizal card given by Sams Opticals and realised the model of the lens is not mentioned anywhere. There is no proof I have purchased the said model by Sams, and I got cheated for at least 2000 rs. I purchased new lens from the second shop and this time double checked the model is mentioned in the bill and the card given. Also the shop gave me 1 year warranty for the glass, if there is any breaks. Moral of the story, don't believe the shop staffs blindly, double confirm the model you are buying and what you are getting, better avoid Sams Opticals, purchase from any known brand.

Here they don't allow to walk out with just prescription. Lenses are overpriced. Just go with any other eye clinic
