Vision Optics

An extremely rude owner Mr.Sunil told me that i cannot leave his shop without paying him ₹200/- for a service which i didn't ask for in the first place. Not once but multiple times he kept repeating in an extremely harsh tone that he wont let me leave his premises  without me paying a fee. I had visited Vision Optics  at around 7pm today the 1st of July 2024. I wanted an advise from the 2 ladies there, about how much it shall cost me, if I move to a progressive lens. The ladies asked me to come into a room to check my eyesight. I obliged. They did a vision test, which lasted hardly a minute or two. Please note that they never told me about any fee that shall be involved for it. If so, they should have told me about it before taking the test. They didn't utter a word about any cost involved. But after the test when they told me the cost for the frame and the progressive lens, I politely refused and told them that it was currently out of my budget. That's when they said for the very first time that I have to pay ₹200/- for the test.  The lady kept saying that if i buy the frame and lens from them they shall not charge me the 200 fee. But I insisted that they should have told me this before i had taken the test and that i would have refused the test. I was under the impression that there was no charge for checking eye power, as every single time, everywhere else in India (in multiple states of Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi , J&K, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Goa, West Bengal,  Gujrat and Andmans), for the past 30 years of me wearing spectacles, not once, have I been charged for testing my vision. Also If there was a fee involved, they should have informed me - the customer, before any service was  to be undertaken and I would have said no, and walked off to some other shop. But Mr Sunil was extremely rude and behaved almost like a hitman when he ordered me to pay, or I would not be able to leave his shop he said. His tone was that of intimidation and threatening. I highly caution people to be vary when visiting this shop, called Vision Optics, Be sure to ask, what all is charged well in advance, before you agree to get any service from them, or else they might resort to absolute hoolignism, like in my case. This behaviour by Mr.Sunil was of inexcusable rudeness and was highly unwarranted for. (The man in the centre of the attached photo of the shop is Mr.Sunil)

"I had gone to Vision Optics to make a purchase. When I tried to park the car in front of the shop, a lady inside the shop told me that I couldn't park there. She didn't even bother to check if I was a customer or not; she just waved me away from inside the shop. What kind of attitude is this?" It seems like you're expressing frustration about the lack of courtesy or consideration shown by the staff.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with this product. Not only is it overpriced, but its quality is also very bad. Unfortunately, my specs developed issues within just 2 days of use.
