Dr. Dolly Chandra is a highly unprofessional ophthalmologist and a big blot on the profession. She treated my 65-year-old father and myself not unlike beggars are usually treated in our country. Dr. Chandra had referred my father to Dr. Arun Bhargava in Indore so he could have a retinal surgery. After the surgery, we were referred back to Dr. Chandra for a followup. She charged us her usual fee plus another INR 2000 for a test called OCT, just like she had a mere 20 days before this followup. The OCT results didn't come out as well as they should have, because of the presence of a gas bubble in my father's eyeball. So, Dr. Chandra asked us to visit her again in 17 days for a second followup. She told us that she would conduct the consultation and OCT for free during this second followup. As recommended, we visited her again for the second followup. But seeing as we were not going to be her cash cows anymore, Dr. Chandra soon became a mere Ms. Chandra, forgetting all the humility and politeness that doctors are supposed to have. She was unjustly and extremely rude with both me and my father, so much so that I had to ask her why she was speaking to us in this abhorrent manner. She told us that she wouldn't be conducting the OCT and didn't ask us to come back for another checkup. When we asked her questions about the status of my father's vision recovery, she once again replied in a shockingly rude manner. We had to leave the facility in shock and utter disgust for this lady. Another patient of hers overheard this ugly conversation and asked us later if we would recommend this doctor. Our answer was a vehement NO. Also, not a single person in her clinic at Bhopal's Siddhanta Red Cross Superspeciality Hospital wears a mask. Dr. Chandra herself never dons a mask either, and even advised my father to avoid it. It is my sincere suggestion to anyone reading this review - AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS. BLINDNESS IS PREFERABLE TO BEING TREATED IN THIS MANNER.

I would like to share my experience in just getting the Appointment with the so called doctor. I called twice and did not get a response, got a call back from the doctor itself saying you’ve bothered me too much by calling again and again so I will not treat you and don’t come to my clinic. I called back to clear the misunderstanding but my number is blocked apparently. I would not recommend Dr. Dolly Chandra to anyone. Very bad experience, not ready to listen to anyone.
