We made an appointment for eye checkup for my daughter. Upon arrival i was asked to pay the consultation charges (Rs 800/-) upfront. I don't understand the rationale behind asking for monies upfront. I tried to reason with the receptionist, but she didn't budge. I found this practise very fishy, hence didn't go through the consultation and left immediately. Never have I seen or heard of any Dr. charging upfront for any consultation.
