Just recently I had my right eye cataract surgery performed by extremely knowledgeable Dr SK Bhulchandani. I am very much satisfied from the initial consultation to the post operative care. I recently underwent cataract surgery performed by Dr. Santosh Bulchandani, and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I opted for the multifocal lens and Dr. Bulchandani took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, address all of my concerns and ensure that I felt comfortable and informed. The surgery itself was quick and painless, and I was amazed at how smooth the entire experience was. The recovery process was seamless, and since the surgery, my vision has significantly improved at all distances – near, intermediate, and far. While there were initial concerns about potential glare and halos around lights during night time – particularly driving during night time - I've found these to be manageable and not bothersome in my day-to-day life. I no longer need to rely on glasses for any of my activities, which has been incredibly liberating. I underwent cataract operation on both eyes in the capable hands of Dr.S K Bulchandani at the Divyajyoti eye hospital. It was made so smooth that I had no worries despite having a pace maker and in my mid 60s. During the pre-operative discussions while selecting the type of Inter ocular lens (IOL), he was so thorough in giving the advantages, disadvantages, cost etc and gave enough materials and idea to do one's own research to finalize the type. We know the quality and capabilities of Dr.S K Bulchandani, a soft spoken, service and patient oriented, professional and a highly accomplished eye surgeon for the past two decades and had seen him scaling new heights regularly. He is my family's trusted eye doctor and his daily tight schedule also proves that he is trusted by great number of people for his professionalism, simplicity and capability. He is ably supported always by a group of nurses, optometrists and other supporting staff who ensure everything related to consultations and/or procedures go smoothly. Even for them 'service with a smile' seems to be the motto. They are very professional and pass on with a flourish instructions for pre and post operative care and medication. They also get your hospital portion of medi-claim form duly filled and executed by the concerned and deliver all documents necessary for filing the medi-claim. While waiting for the procedure at the hospital with my wife accompanying our mental tension and worries are greatly reduced by the smiling and soft spoken nurses and a serene atmosphere created by piped music of soft rendering of a devotional song / mantra on loop. A very positive, radiant, self assured and smiling Dr. S K Bulchandani greeted me warmly as I was readied for the procedure. Every step of the process in the operation theatre where executed with a clock like precision and Dr.S K Bulchandani and all others in the OT were so professional that I gave myself completely without any reservations in to Dr.Bulchandani's safe hands. I felt literally no pain or discomfort during the entire procedure. The doctor was also at different stages was informing me about the progress made in the operation that was also very comforting and reassuring. The hospital allows a maximum of two persons to accompany the patient being operated. There is a provision for them to exclusively view the operation live using a CCTV. My wife viewed the whole procedure and was both awe struck as well as grateful. After an hour at the recovery room we were back in Dr.S K Bulchandani's main consulting room. He opened the bandage and tested by long and short vision and I was so happy that my vision is better than it was earlier at that time itself. Post operative consultation and instructions are also a breeze and in 15 days, with both my eyes operated I have a much enhanced vision. The hospital's motto "Diffusing Darkness , Infusing Light" always reminds me of the Brihadaranyaka upanishad's shanti mantra "Tamaso Maa Jyothir Gamaya" - Lead us from darkness to Light.
