Cataract Surgery with Toric Lens – My Experience with Dr. Vaibhav Kanse at Advait Eye & Women's Care Centre, Nigdi I recently underwent cataract surgery with a toric intraocular lens (IOL) to correct my astigmatism, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Before the surgery, my vision was blurry, and colors seemed dull, especially in bright light. I also had significant astigmatism, which made my vision even more distorted. The procedure itself was quick and painless—completed within 15–20 minutes. The recovery was smooth, with only mild discomfort and sensitivity to light for a couple of days. I followed the post-operative instructions closely, using the prescribed eye drops and avoiding strenuous activities. The improvement in my vision was noticeable almost immediately. Within a few days, colors were brighter, details were sharper, and most impressively, the astigmatism was significantly reduced. I now have clear distance vision and only need minimal correction for reading. The toric lens made a huge difference in overall clarity compared to standard lenses.
