Cataract surgery done on 10 Jan 2023- I feel some error had occurred during surgery or some Experiment done on me. my vision & health is Destroyed. I am Paralysed. Surgeon never bothered about my previous history of stroke, THALAMIC bleed with thalamic pain, spinal problems, osteoporosis , Macular degeneration, Lichen planus etc, etc... The surgery was a complete failure, Dr Shibu Poulose had done some great mistakes & experiments done during surgery, might have used wrong number lens. Why he prescribed toric minus glasses? When it did not match he asked me to change it to plus toric, which too didn't improve the vision. My vision COMPLETELY distorted, brain damaged, body paralyzed, muscles atrophied. I am bedridden after Cataract surgery. Nearly 2 years ago years ago I visited Opthalmologist Cataract Surgeon Dr Shibu paulose , Dhrishti deep Eye CLINIC, Chinchwad Pune for routine check up. He advised cataract surgery for Right eye, which I accepted reluctantly. He did cataract surgery on 77 year old stroke patient (THALAMIC bleed Left, with thalamic pain & Disabilities of right side) without suggesting alternatives, without disclosing pre & post operative care prior to the surgery. He ignored my complaints & health problems for surgical procedure, which involved injection in eye, not eye drops. Injecting eye of stroke patient having neuropathy is worst action by doctor on patient Suffering neurological problems, WITHOUT telling patient surgery involves injection in the eye. He ignored medical history of left thalamic bleed stroke of 22 years, neurological problems, hypertension, Macular degeneration, brain atrophy in MRI scans, osteoporosis, vertibral discs problem, lichen tenes skin problems etc. He prevented me from consulting my neurologist & retinologist. He said NO PROBLEM to all my complaints and health deficiencies. He did not suggest me to avoid the surgery as I do not need surgery to drive or work. He does not have emergency arrangements if patient suffers complications during surgery. He does not have facilities for in patient care. He should have suggested me to either not do the surgery, or to do it in a hospital which has full facilities for stroke patients. Without doing proper evaluation or assessment he proceded with the surgery. Once cataract surgery is done, it can't be undone. The surgery made me bedridden, increased paralysis, muscle & bone weakness, visual problems Ptosis, blurred slanted fluctuating vision, double vision, non-cordination of the vision, and no eye glasses could solve the problems, shadow on the operated eye, pain in right eye & numbness and pain all over the head. Itching on the top of the head, operated eye & nostril, palpitations and breathlessness since the surgery. I have problems to read, watch TV, use mobile & feel confused & disoriented. Three weeks after surgery, I collapsed when I lifted my head from the pillow when I woke up, I became paralyzed. When Dr shibu paulose was informed, all he wanted to know was "did any damage happen to the operated eye?" He did not even ask what happened or show any concern for the patient! Then the hospital ignored my complaint that all the problems were due to cataract surgery. Hospital tried to forcibly diagnose vertigo, which was absolutely not the cause. Hospital did not make notation that I had undergone cataract surgery. Hospital did not provide eye specialist consultation despite my repeatedly saying that the imbalance was due to cataract surgery. After consulting him again with all the post operative problems, he said everything is fine. When I asked when to come for follow up, he said no need to visit his clinic again. It is clear he had already done what he wanted, got his fees, got his number of surgeries, done his experiment on stroke patient. It's more than 1 and 1/2 years now and my condition is miserably deteriorating. Wish I could go back in time and not have had my surgery, it is the worst medical advice & treatment I have received. Lost eyesight in both eyes and health due to Cataract surgery.

Dr.Shibu Paulose is very good and experienced doctor in his Field.He is very polite and my whole family visits his clinic for all optical issues.

Patient of cataract surgery done by Dr. Shibu Poulose has following experience. More than 1 year has passed after eight eye cataract, with increasing deterioration of right eye as well as vision of left eye. Entire body's health has also completely deteriorated due to neuropathy caused by cataract surgery. Why did you do the cataract surgery despite knowing that I am a haemorrhagic Stroke patient with thalamic pain & paralysis? I thought that you are an expert & agreed, but you have spoiled my normal vision & escaped by referring to others. I am completely disturbed with headache, numb head, blurred slanted vision, a shadow at the outer corner, fluctuations in vision, light reflection, loss of memory & concentration deterioration. Can't do anything on mobile, can't watch tv, now completely paralysed on bed, suffering due to non essential cataract surgery, managing all these problems with medicines prescribed by neurologist. My disability in mobility doesn't allow me to go to other eye hospitals too. I am in great depression & pain since the cataract surgery. Burning headaches at occipital & parital area, and frequent kaleidoscope vision. Thanks Your patient, CTT.

Very good Doctor. His behaviour is excellent. You will like the way Doctor speaks. Half of your problem will disappear after speaking to him. He speaks very gently, politely, softly and he will explain you the exact problems of yours with out being irritated. Thank you doctor. You are the example of a doctor should speak to his patients.

The reception lady who takes Appointments there is very Biased and not qualified enough. She wrote my name in the Book way below and sent people to visit Doctors who came way late after me. Maybe she sent them first because they were talking with her in their mother tongue. Shame on people like this! Wasted my 2 hours there.When i asked her I came before them she said they took appointment before me! There was written in Big letters no Appoinment System. Won’t visit there again .Don’t know why she’s so partial. I even informed the doctor about this stuff. But maybe he didn’t get it. Doctor is very humble and kind and the best but because of people like her people might stop comming there.

Best eye clinic in Pimpri Chinchwad area. We're consulting this doctor for the last ten years. With sophisticated equipments and and extremely good behaviour Dr Shibu Paulose is the best sought after eye surgeon in this area. Consulting charges is also very reasonable and you have to wait for sometime because of the rush of patients. We're very satisfied and highly recommend

Very good doctor. Polite, listen attentively and provides good treatment. Fees is 500rs per visit. Appointment system can be improved otherwise all other things are positive.
