Patient Name Saroj Bhattu NIO shivaji nagar is a very clean and sofesticated hospital. Here every staff member is very cooperative and helping. All the instructions post op are very well given by Nurses... Doctors are obviously very helping and excellent in their work...

I get chalazia frequently. The first time around, they immediately recommended surgery. The total cost with all pre-tests, etc. was over INR 20,000; this was during COVID time, so around 2019-20. Fast forward to 2024 and my eye had a chalazion again. This time, I met Dr. Chougule at Aundh NIO, as he was supposed to be the best for this issue. He in turn made me see their in-house occuloplastic surgeon (did I spell that right?)...again was advised surgery. I decided to go for homeopathy instead. Chalazia disappeared within a month—treatment and meds cost just about 1000 INR. So I believe, NIO is not forthcoming with treatment options. I even asked Dr Chougule about IPL laser for chalazia (there is a Facebook group for this condition where patients from the US and UK got it done with good results). Dr. Chou would not even hear about it. He would not even consider this as an alternative to surgery. So anyone suffering from this issue, please consider all your options. Yes, he asked me to cut sugar, which certainly causes inflammation and such conditions. But other than that, there was no value in going to this establishment. They might only be good for vision correction etc.

I am Hirkanabai Mahadev Mote..Visited NIO shivajinagr for Eye surgery.. hospital is very good ,, They provide all services related to eye. Best and qualified doctors,,cooperative nurses ,staff, pleased do visit once.. very clean and hyginic hospital i have visited till date...

I recently visited the National Institute of Ophthalmology (NIO) in Shivajinagar, Pune, and had a mostly positive experience. The hospital is well-equipped with modern facilities, and the doctors seemed knowledgeable and thorough. I appreciated the systematic process and minimal waiting time for my consultation. The staff could be a bit more courteous, but overall, I was satisfied with the quality of care. Would recommend it to anyone looking for professional eye care services in Pune.

Zero star option is not available so I am giving one star. The poor service starts @ gate itself. No parking facility rude security service. My mother had a knee replacement surgery recently so it is advised to accompany her all the time and the security here @ NIO told me that only one person allowed with 74 year old petiant. A lot eye hospitals are there with excellent facilities and doctors. Don't ruin your day here.

Got excellent service at NIO Shivaji Nagar. Dr Aditya Kelkar sir was the best. all reception staff was cooperative and helpful. Thanks to Dr Aditya Kelkar and Reva Deshpande for hassle free experience
