I had surgery at Raghoji Hospital for kidney stone-related issues. After the scan, the doctor did not provide proper information and instead asked me like a shop vendor whether I had insurance or would pay in cash. I mentioned that I had insurance and submitted the necessary documents. They charged ₹80,000 for the surgery, whereas the normal cost is ₹22,000. After the operation, when I visited the hospital again, they informed me that the stone was not removed properly and that I needed another surgery, which cost ₹50,000. During discharge, the insurance representative told me that I could not leave without final approval. I argued with her and the doctor, and they eventually allowed me to leave, but I had to write a letter stating that I would be responsible for the payment if the insurance did not approve it. This hospital is more focused on money than on patient health and well-being. It was the worst experience of my life. Please ask for all details before admitting yourself to this hospital. The sonography doctor’s visiting time is 2 PM, and the patient has to wait for his arrival.
