I had a Laser Blended Vision surgery with Dr Reece Hall on one eye 5 years ago, when I was close to 50 years old. The surgery went well, after surgery I had to put eye drops for few weeks, protect the eye from the wind and in the shower and that was it. The goal was to stop needing reading glasses, and five years later, I still don’t need them. Eyes are working well. No complaints whatsoever. Happy with the whole experience. I had ASA surgery at Bowen Eye Clinic about three months ago and the experience has been incredible to date. As soon as I reached out to the clinic, the process has been seamless from my first consultation to my most recent check up. The day of the surgery I was naturally anxious but Doctor Hall was calm and reassuring. The procedure itself was much quicker than I anticipated, you are in and out before you know it! The post-surgery care was straight forward, involving regular eye drops and shields on your eyes when sleeping and the clinic provide you with everything you need. I have had no issues post surgery. Being free of glasses has been life changing and I highly recommend anyone considering eye surgery to go with Bowen Eye Clinic as I have no complaints about my experience whatsoever!

I recently had LASIK eye surgery at Bowen hospital with Dr Hall. Consultation went smoothly then a few short weeks later surgery was completed. Virtually the next day my vision was perfect. I was on the fence about getting laser eye surgery for a long time, but I’m so glad I went through with it. After years of dealing with the discomfort and hassle of wearing contact lenses every day, it’s such a relief to finally have clear vision without having to think about them anymore. The whole process was really efficient. From my initial consultation to the actual procedure, everything moved quickly. Recovery went smoothly too, it took a few weeks to fully heal, but I was already seeing a big improvement not long after the surgery. The team was professional and reassuring throughout. They explained each step clearly. I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I had a LASIK surgery done 4-weeks ago at this clinic, and I have to say it was one of the best experience I have ever had with a healthcare provider team. Every receptionist always has a smile on their face, and they are so patient in helping me deciding on the dates that work the best for me for my follow up appointments as I work full time. Dr Reece Hall is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional. He is always happy to answer any question that I have, especially during my initial consultation, which he took time to make sure I understood the risks and benefits of the surgery. A consent form was given, including a few pages of detailed information about the surgery, and I was able to bring them home so I had time to make my decision. On the day of the surgery, Dr Hall explained the whole procedure to me, and the information was delivered in a way where patients would be able to understand easily, so it was not too overwhelming. Everything that was required for post surgery care was provided by the clinic. Since then, I have had multiple follow up appointments, and I am going back again for another one in 2-months' time. I have also recommended this clinic to one of my patients enquiring about LASIK eye surgery. The clinic also collects your glasses to deliver them over to the Islands, so the people who need a pair of glasses but are not able to afford them, can put the glasses into good use. I thought this was a great idea and have donated mine! This is obviously optional.

I decided to have lens replacement eye surgery after being told I wouldn't need to wear glasses anymore. I found this idea quite appealing. However unfortunately the reality was a nightmare experience of having distorted vision, on a permanent basis. Having a close up lens in one eye was not a pleasant experience. For the next 6 months I had different contacts put in different eyes to try and balance the vision, another nightmare experience. Each time having to go weeks before going back for next appointment. Finally I had to decide to have laser to go back to normal distance vision in both eyes. Unfortunately my eye has never completely recovered back to normal vision with a small amount of distortion still, meaning I've had to get prescription glasses, not because I need them, but just to stop the distortion I've been left with. So I've paid around $6000 and now wearing glasses permanently instead of just reading glasses as I did previously. Now I'm supposed to pay extra money to go back to see the surgeon. Considering what's happened, I think there is some responsibility to see why I have distortion and if anything can be done, without extra charge. Also surely this could have been tried out with a contact lens in the first place instead of surgery, I would have known straight away it wasn't going to work for me, without having the terrible experience I had involving non reversible surgery

I recently had refractive lens exchange in both eyes done at the age of 47. The whole experience with Dr Reece Hall and his office team + the nurses was flawless!
