Stephanie Joseph is a true professional and I can't say enough about the service I received from her. As a Dispensing Optician, she went out of her way to find the perfect pair of glasses for me, searching what Kapiti had on offer and bringing it to the Wellington store. Although I was not able to find the right pair for my small frame at Sangster and Matthews, Stephanie understood what I was looking for. I was able to bring a pair purchased elsewhere and Stephanie fitted them with the same care, attention and expertise, as if I had purchased them from Sangster and Matthews. Most noticeable to me was Stephanie's attention to customer service. It's one thing to provide a service, but when it is greater than the nuances of others, her exceptional attention and tailored solutions, stood out to me. Not only did she offer to do a temporary fix to my broken glasses, she fixed an annoying feature with my new pair that others said was fine as it passes for function. For these sort of positive vibes, I had to reach out and say thank you Stephanie Joseph for your 5 star service, you went above and beyond. You have left me with warm fuzzies!

Had my eye exam today by Michelle Tiang and she was very thorough and explained everything very well. She was very knowledgeable and had a nice calm manner. The receptionist was also very attentive and checked me in when I walked through. I'll be back for my yearly eye checks!

Bruce was a delight to work with, with the usually uninspiring effort of choosing frames … a bit of a blah blah blah experience. Not so with Bruce. Bruce literally brought the experience to life with a delft mix of professionalism, wrapped with a wry sense humour and an overly of simply magic. Never have I enjoyed spectacle buying with such enthusiasm. Bruce was ‘ all in ‘ to find ‘ the pair’ and no stone was left unturned in his pursuit. Extremely professional, friendly and high quality. Andrew was great during my eye test while Dillon and Emmaleigh both helped me out promptly with any questions I had. Definitely the best optometrist I have been to 😁

I had an amazing experience on my first-ever vision assessment. Lady at the front desk was nice and very professional. I was looked after by the optometrist Shonag Laird who was an absolute gem. Not only she was great at her job but also a lot of fun!

I had problems with my new lenses that I bought at another branch of Matthews Optmetrists in Auckland. While I was in Wellington, I first visited Sangster & Matthews Optmetrists in Terrace, Wellington. They were super efficient and helpful, and sorted out my problems nicely. Awesome service!

Most incredible kind compassionate service. Michelle and Shongan are both incredible and so knowledgeable and the team was able to fit me in for an emergency appointment despite a really busy day for them. Would 100% recommend anyone to come here :)

All the staff at Sangster and Matthews are great; they have a good range of frames for both glasses and sunglasses. And they are very friendly and attentive. Good follow up care too.
