Singapore Polytechnic Optometry Centre (SPOC)

My wife and I chose SPOC for our eye assessment for their reasonable fees. The interns (Germaine for me) and their supervising doctors are highly professional and detailed in their evaluation. They did a full spectrum of comprehensive eye checks and we were very confident of their diagnosis. We also ordered spectacles from their shop and we are truly delighted to be served by Suyi, a very dedicated staff who took great patience and provided great advice with our selection of spectacles. Credo to the students, doctors and staff of SPOC for your professional and friendly services. Highly recommended! Thank you for giving us good vision.

Although conducted by students, the process is very comprehensive. All for $5....REAL GOOD BUY! Do call them to make appointments though. The downside is the hassle is the length of the check up...more than an hour!

This year Jan i came to the centre to do eye checking, the teacher, students were providing good service and good advice to me. I had also made an glasses in the centre. Two months later the frame of the glasses got problem. I seek help to the staff Miss Suyi. Within a week she had settled my problem, provided a new frame for me. I very grateful to her prior service and help. Tks very much. Next year i will come back again for the eye check.

I am very pleased with Louis who attended to my eye examination today. The Third-year student was very attentive, patient and professional. He will make a competent optometrist once he graduated next year. Kudos to all his lecturers and counter staff for doing a wonderful job in running the SP Optometry Centre.

The service is absolutely terrible. I made an online appointment on their website but heard absolutely nothing for more than 2 months. No one answered my calls when I tried to contact them. Then out of blue I got called by someone claimed to be from the center. When I asked her why it took 2 months for them to call me back, but she kept pressing me when my preferred appointment date is without giving me any good reasons for the big delay other than saying they were closed previously. What kind of service provider would allow customers to book an appointment when they are closed? What kind of Center remained closed for 2months! An apology for the inconvenience is the least the Singapore polytechnic optometry Center can do for keeping people waited for 2 months.

Attended my third year student Chantal Lam and Supervisor Valerie,both are patient, professional and meticulous.Chantal Lam can be a good optomist if she prosess above attributes, highly recommend those want to do a proper eye check

1.5 hrs of serious eye health, pressure, reading checks - tons of expensive equipment. Handled by graduating students and I dont mind having these earnest students practice on me ! $5 is a huge deal cos there is no other option except a visit to a large private eye practice and paying hundreds of dollars. The teacher is around to guide, diagnose and sign off the student’s checks.

Full eye power and health check for a very good price! Other than the long waiting list and consultation, the student and doctor pair were very knowledgeable and detailed in their check and explanation
