Rajan Eye Care - Adyar (Eye Hospital in Adyar)

Rajan eye care is one of the most renowned eye care center in Chenna. My daughter had laser treatment of retinal hole and Lasix for her vision and my husband had cataract surgery. We are living abroad . All of distant needs were also immediately attended to. Special mention of Kamal who has been there in Adayar center, very sincere and always willing to help. I will never patronize any other opthalmic care center as our family is contented and happy with their services.

Our family has been using the services of RAJAN EYE CARE for over 35 years. Dr. Mohan Rajan and Dr. Sujata Mohan have been most trusted and fantastic support to every member of our family. They have performed Glucoma and cataract surgeries for me and my Dad and Lasik for my kids. I visit both the T'Nagar hospital and Gandhinagar clinic. Dr. Niranjana is very helpful for my post surgery reviews. Kamal at the Gandhinagar Centre has always offered excellent service. I can say with confidence that your eyes are extremely safe in the hands of RAJAN EYE CARE.

This hospital offers nice care and the staff working over there very friendly and helps us to understand the nature of treatment we have to undergo and also hands on optical choice in selection of lens and explaining in detail was very good

Rajan eye car was providing a good service a while ago. In velachery it was pretty good. Adyar was way near my home. So I went there. But I was a little shocked to see the kind of experience I had. The doctor was way too loud in her conversation. They did not see that the chair lever level of the patient aged 60+ is good enough to place her chin on the instrument. Without caring about that just asked her to bend and come closer and faulting her that she is not co-operating. I was observing this conduct and every time she talks in english that a patient cannot understand. A patient aged 60+ is a human and she has every rights to know what happened in detail and also to understand in lay man terms. Its for that reason we are coming to the hospital, paying more and waiting for an hour. But every time the doctor is talking loud and blaming the patient, you are not keeping the chin properly, you are not co-operating, its time consuming for you and me in a loud manner. I would say first understand the patient, what kind of weakness they have, are they feeling comfortable bending their body despite of you inability to notice that the chair level is not in sync with your eye. instrument. Tell them that "you may feel slight discomfort with this machine trying to touch your eyes, but dont worry i will signal u so that u can be ready", u know something like this so the patient expects this and prepares accordingly. Not like touch the eyes with the instrument and patient aged 60 expects something is wrong... Ok after all these I went there to get the spectacle and doctor was not answering that question at all. She asked me to take a scan and said cataract is matured and eye pressure is way too high. so immediate operation needs to be done. I did the scan verified the results and now I demanded for spectacle and she said u can collect it outside. Now to cover insurance requisites, no prescription, no sign in the lab report, no prescription for recommendation to take scanning. Noticing all these I said please get me whatever I needed above. They gave everything. worst part, doctor name is Benita, and it is not printed in prescription anywhere. Registration number is also not printed. They just wrote it in the prescription. If I submit their bills as it is, insurance will directly reject it. I don't expect this to be happening in an hospital like that. I think overall this clinic is not managed well. I understand that the main doctors are really the experts. But the doctor who i interacted with is way to immature to handle patients. I dont think if any VIP comes in they are going to act this way. A patient is a patient whatever age and background they have. Be polite to the patients, understand patient's comfort before you examine them, be organized and have your signs wherever required and also your name printed in the prescription along with reg. no, give some encouragement finally to the patient so that they feel good and trust on your words and come back to you. Please earn a good name to the company which employed you. Anyways I wish I can meet the chief doctors to get the opinion on my mothers eye status and I hope they will be able to understand me and respond back.
