My recent experience at this hospital was extremely disappointing and far from what one would expect from a healthcare facility. Below are the key issues I faced during my visit: Excessive Wait Times: Patients are forced to wait for hours, indicating poor management and inefficiency. Restrictive Attendant Policy: Only one attendant is allowed per patient, causing undue stress for families who need support. Rude and Unprofessional Staff: The staff displayed a lack of empathy and courtesy, making the experience even more unpleasant. Overall, the hospital falls short of delivering adequate care and customer service.

Supposedly a mission hospital which means it’s a Not for Profit organisation. But apart from the limited free all-free services that it gives to certain select patients, they collect lump fees from the affluent and middle class alike! Good infra, both experienced and fresh doctors from all over India, diverse cases from pan India patients all make this a competitive corporate hospital. But still among the top eye care institutions in India which makes them a trusted brand. Services and processes could be much improved to reduce down time and unnecessary wait time for both staff and patients.

Can you tell me about lasik surgery, my cousin sister having large number specs which is 17 and 13. And age of her 16 years old. Can we go for lasik?

Best place for eye treatment at low cost in india. Very clean professional place. Staffs are very polite.

Very good facility, could be more organised to ease patients waiting time. Waiting time felt unnecessary, specially while registering, even though you register online, you need to do same again manually.

Take prior appointment if you are going here for eye check up. Expenses are moderate and quality of treatment is very good. Clean rest rooms available for both gender. Hospital maintained very well. Car and two wheeler parking available. Physicians are well experienced. Good hospital for affordable eye medical treatment.

I used to visit Sankara Nethralaya more than 15yrs, initally they do their treatment well with nominal charges. Because they were charity organisation to help the patients Nowadays , I dont understand past few years, whenever we go and consult (routine consultation), unnessary tests, laser treatements, its cost around more than 10 000 Rs, it only for small tests .... blood circulation laser they do charge more than 40 000 Rs, i cant believe this ... i think management might have changed or Apollo might have bought this hospital ? The hospital started for noble reasons, to help poor patients, now middle class even high class people cannot afford !!!! Kindly look into the matter and do service the poor as Sankarachariyar"s advice. Thank you !
