For the past 25 years, my consultation with Dr. Sukumar sir, not only me, even my whole family, my dearest and my nearest are consulting for their needs. Really, a kind hearted doctor, who prescribed only for the must need medications and if our follow ups continues, no further fees for followups, if once paid initially. I thank Dr.Sukumar sir, for his support , well wishes. And wish him to continues this service.

The Hospital was started as a clinic on 13.12.1990 as Eye Care Clinic at P.J.Complex, Opposite Government Hospital, Erode, working on all 7 days withbare minimum staff. Slowly the area of the Out Patient Block was increased.On 03.12.1995 the new inpatient block – Sri Raghavendra Eye Hospital- was inaugurated opposite to Tamil Nadu EB Central Office, Erode, about 200 meters from the O.P Block.The Doctor’s residence was shifted to the new building for proper inpatient care. For the convenience of the out patients, the O.P.Block opposite Erode GH was not vacated and still the Out Patient Department is functioning there. During State Ophthalmic Conference in 1997, the Sunday outpatient service was stopped as our doctor was the Organizing secretary of the conference. For the first time in Erode, PHACO Live surgery Demonstration with CCTV and hands on training with goat’s eyewas arranged at Sri Raghavendra Eye Hospital during this conference. Around 40 ophthalmologists participated.After this, StorzPhaco machine was added. Latter Non Contact Tonometer, Automated Perimeter field analyzer, Carl Zeiss Microscope, AMO Phaco machine were added. After 2005, Junior Ophtalmologistswere posted. After 18 years of service, in 2007, Opticals – Sri RaghavendraOpticals - was started at the O.PBlock. The Hospital was approvedfor Tamil Nadu Government Employees New Health Scheme(G.O.Ms.No. 547 , Dated 14 th November, 2007) and Retired Government Employees Health Scheme.(G.O.Ms.No. 50, Dated 19th February, 2008) Laser center – “Erode Eye Diagnostic and Laser Center” - was started in a different premises at E.V.N Road, about 100 meters from the O.P.Block with Green laser and Fundus Camera. This is a joint venture by four Erode ophthalmologists with the visiting Retinal consultant surgeon by monthly.

Satisfied with doctor explanation. Senior doctor gave nice time and respect. Thank you so much. Came here first time,very satisfied , not like another hospital( don't want to mention name) which I took my father for surgery.

Treatment was gud ,bt it takes more time ,if u visit the hospital ,it's nearly tooks minimum 6 hr .for example if I visit a hospital at 10 am ,after I return to home at 4 pm.its the only worst thing in the hospital

Hospital is good but sisters and even receptionist are not kind enough to talk with..not polite in activities and rude with patients
