I request Aravind hospital management to do a patient care program to doctors and nurses. I approached your hosptial to know whether right time to do cataract. They itself decided to do procedure for cataract without asking me one thing. And they send me to advidor , they are not clearly explain about all the process. They send out within 5 mins. And insurace person , She just said , "Come here with aadhar and Insurance Card". Your hospital is having good name in salem. We did many cataract surgery in Aravind from my relatives. Please take this as personal advise, all employees need care program immediately. I will come back to Aravind on dec month. Based on their activities i will decide where to do cararact for my mom or not. Thanks for serving society.

We came to aravind eye hospital salem branch to check my uncle's cataract issue. We've come from a long distance with travel of 2 hrs approx. We've been waiting to consult doctor. During our waiting hours we had a strange experience. The Docor we were about to consult was keep shouting at the nurses who were there. Also he keep shouting at the patient who went before us. They were a old man and old lady who doesn't even what was just happening. Without any decorum he spoke harshly at them. While this happening those nurses were instructed us to not to look at there. Even there is no screen between the Dr. And us. Everyone were looking at there only but she keep coming and said the same. When we went into the Dr's cabin he checked my unlce and said vitals were normal. We went to the hospital on Wednesday but he instructed us to get cataract operation on saturday of the same week itself. But we had some family funtion on that saturday, so we asked him whether here is any possibility to do the same on mondayy.. it's just 1 day later. But he again shouted and ordered us to get the operation done on saturday and if we failed to do so the hospital will not be responsible for any issues when the operation done on monday. I dont understand the logic here when the vitals are normal what's the issue here to get the operation done 1 day later.. it's just one day only. Here we found it fishy that whether he had any target pressure to do this no of surgeries within a week ? But my uncle got worried about his health as this Dr. told us like this. Then we consoled him and we went to some other hospital which is also a famous one. There also we made all the tests and they said vitals are normal no isssue will be there. And they said it would be good and can do the cataract operation done when we are able to do. Then only we were relaxed. After a week we made the operation there and my uncle is good now. Here what Iam saying is, we came to your hospital from long distance for better care and consultation. But when failed to get what we expected why do we come to you ? There are numerous good reputed hospitals availbale here we can get our need where we feel comfortable. This is a public comment so I didn't mention the Dr's name and also your hospital webesite didn't have any complaints and suggestions portal. So I said my issues in public comment. If you ask me personally I will surely say who made us uncomf6in your hospital.. not only us everyone waiting in that hall had this same experience more or less. If you are reading this comment pls take classes regarding the decorum to maintain with the patients. Funny thing is Dr's noise was more irritating than the noises made by patients which was like a fish market not like a hospital. And finally we will never visit salem brand aravind eye hospital again. Thanks for your worst service.

They are not maintaining a proper waiting list. When they claim your turn will come after 10 people, we can see that they start permitting 10 to 20 members before you and don't tell you a specific time when your turn would come. I am not sure how they are doing. We arrived in the morning and left just before the hospital closed. Worst service. This applies only to the pre-checkup and initial consultation. We are unsure about the treatment as we have not yet moved on to the next step. Frustrating!!!

I had a horrible experience at Aravind Eye Hospital in Salem due to the behavior of a "few nurses". Instead of treating us like visitors or patients, they made us feel like we were a burden. The lack of empathy and professionalism was truly disappointing. I would not recommend visiting this place again. Patient care should always be a priority, and sadly, that was not my experience here.
