Dr. Varuna's Gift Of Sight Eye Hospital

One of the worst Eye Hospital in Trichy, If you really care about your family member taking here then think twice, thrice before visiting, Here is my experience "I visited with my mother during the second week of January 2021, We got to visit more than twice just to consult the doctor. 1st visit they said Dr.Varuna is not available, Nurse told to visit next day 9AM, 2nd visit we went there at 9AM an surprising no one was there other than one nurse, She informed doctor will only visit after 10. So Finally, We visited and got the checkup done. Dr.Vinod advice for changing of glasses due to the power increase and event didn't prescribe the medicines clearly and also nurse did not communicate properly. So we had to visit 3rd time to get the clear statements regarding usage of medicines (Attached prescription shows no proper information when to take the medicines). We visited today for the verification of new specs and another BIG SURPRISE to us ,was that nurse told us Doctor didn’t advised to change the specs, But we checked the doctors card and noticed that Dr.Vinod purposed power for the specs was wrongly dated as of 2020 instead of 2021, which is a huge big mistake a doctor can do and it led me investing the money for buying the new specs on wrong power". It was one of the good Hospital a very long long back, Now its no more. Disappointed treatment with doctors and approaching of Nurses/Staffs are not good. Again I advice you to think more than twice before visiting this Hospital.

So far I have had 3 interactions with this hospital. 1. Normal Eye Power check up for myself during 2020 amidst covid restrictions. It was a simple and no fuss visit. All was well. 2. I had a trauma on the eyes as I was accidentally hit on the eyes during 2021. Though I went to the clinic as per their doctor timing, it took 20 mins more for doctor to start his consultation. I was not offered any first aid during that wait time. Luckily, it was nothing serious. I would say it was a ok visit. 3. My mom tested her eyes and had change in power. She got new pair of glasses based on his prescription. But my mom felt giddy and nauseous using the new glasses. Went to him again and he examined her and told that her power has been completely reversed from +2.50 Spherical in right eye to -2.50 Spherical in right eye. But the old computer slips clearly Indicate that it was Infact-2.50 during the first visit. The Doctor nor the hospital accepted that they made a mistake. I had to take mom to another hospital to get proper eye power. Waste of time , money and risk of being misdiagnosed. This is not Okay in any standard

The way they treated the patient was not fair. The eye power prescribed is completely different from others, so took another check up from reliable source. Highly disappointed, as I approached the clinic trusting these reviews.

One of the best Eye Hospitals in Trichy... I've visited 3 to 4 times, with various allergic infections.. and I was totally fine with just one or two dose of medicine or drops... The Doctor is also very patient to listen and clear any doubts... The best part is in today's modern era, their charges are very reasonable with best service... Kudos to the best team of Doctors here..

My parents have been frequenting the clinic for eye problems and regular checks . Recently got an opinion online from Dr Nathaniel for my elder kid's eye problem.Its been a comfortable and reliable experience for us . Thank you

Excellent eye hospital at a very convenient location. Doctor is highly knowledgeable. Both doctor and staff are very polite and understanding in nature. They give prescription glasses with latest frames at a nominal cost which is an added benefit too.

Worst,the staff was very rude didn’t allow the parents to be with their children while checking the eyes overall very worst behaviour I don’t recommend this hospital ( the doctor is nice only the staff)
