Have visited this institute. Dr.Deepthi Pullepu is very nice towards patients. Listens patiently and advised proper medication and given Good guidance. The hospital is very clean and maintained neatness. The staff is very cordial.

A small old fashioned hospital with the unrushed attention of the doctor here, they only give out appointments for 30 patients a day, and the list is usually filled by 7.30am. Plan in advance, as unlike the newer speciality eye clinics, it's not possible to wangle a walk-in. However, it's worth the wait.

Best eye hospital in Chandannagar. You can just walk in to see the doctor. Best time to avoid the crowd is around 3 pm in the afternoon. Everything is well organised and both the doctor and optometrist are very patient and explain everything in detail as to what the problem is and why they think the eye glass power is appropriate for you based on your age and current eye conditions. The wash room in the clinic is very clean which is always a plus.

Traditional process of checking the eyes, which rules out all doubts. My kid of 11 was complaining of frequent headaches, I was prepared for a high powered glass. The Opthalmologist patiently examined and re-examined to rule out any possible causes and advised to continue her existing glasses ensuring good sleeping pattern. Didn't spend a pie more than the consultation fee of Rs500. No prior appointment, a bit of wait time but worth it.

Dr Surveswara Rao is a very senior doctor and advises patients very well. I am told that he is retired 6 months ago. Now, the 6 yrs exp doctor is an young surgeon (MS) and charges Rs 500 fee and in fact I went for 2nd opinion on my eye but I could not proceed further as senior doctor is retired. Hence, please note that previous senior doctor is not in the Hospital.

Dr Sarveshwar Rao is a senior doctor who knows about eyes very well, he will give proper guidance based on your eye problems. Went back in 2014 for the first time and then after like 6years revisited this place for general eye checkup. Before that I've visited couple of eye doctors where I didn't satisfied. The only problem is need to wait for an appointment as he takes only 30 patients a day.

This hospital is not for emergency situations.. I went to the clinic with severe headache originating from one of eye. I walked in and requested for an appointment.. and the assistant says he can not give any appointments and says he will give tablets and asks to come with an appointment.. how the hell he can give me medicine without knowing the issue.. such arrogant staff..and appointments are not there for another 5 days.. I prefer this clinic as doctor sir is good.. But should accomadate some emergency cases as well.. otherwise we have to only consider for eye check up for prescription glasses every other year.. where such a good doctor can do a lot more..
